  • just cremate your body. stop wasting unnecessary space on earth. selfish fucks

  • my freind looked partly like a wax museum character, partly asleep and partly dead 3 weeks ago it was the first time i had viewed someone in 19 years. My grandmother looked asleep and my nanny (other grandmother) looked like a doll

  • My freind died 3 weeks ago and thanks in advance for your sympathy because i'm tired of hearing it. He looked like a wax figure in one sense and asleep in another sense and dead in another sense. It was strange especially since I haven't been to a viewing in 19 years

  • Holy fuck! Casey Anthony works with the dead now!

  • I want to die with no pain, but I want to live my life first, I'm not afraid of dying only if i've lived my life doing what ive always wanted and my death wont be painful

  • YAY! CCMS! Go purple and gold!

  • I worked in a funeral home for 3 years. They really do take care of the bodies and treat them with alot of respect.

  • You're not gonna be afraid you're gonna be really pissed once you see them touching your corpse. An angry soul watching and waiting for them to die to finally meet and kick their ass in the after life. I'd really picture it that way.

  • natural

  • Cremation is my choice. Why go thru all that as well as waste perfectly good land with your corpse?

  • @Diddlen you gave your body a taste of hell

  • When I die, I want to be encased in a granite statue of myself wearing armor and a sword, and have it hidden deep in the woods with a plaque on it that says something in some ancient language. Badass.

  • @hoodenmcburg the statue would be nothing to you .. when you die .. your dead ! so why the statue -.- in the 18 century they would barry you in the ground without putting your name or a cross or nothing .. you dead they dont care about you anymore either hell or heaven ..

  • I just want to be buried so I can return as a zombie one day :D

  • I've seen a lot of disturbing stuff on the internet, but this made me cringe. A lot. And I've seen many many disturbing stuff.

  • I went to a funeral director for my Year 10 work experience. I didn't quite like the idea of seeing the dead at first but I now really want to do the job and I really want to do embalming as I found that the most interesting part of it all. I don't find it scary, I find it peaceful.

  • well wrong unnatural

  • It is so interesting to see how diffent cultures take care of loved ones. In Finland we do not embalm on regular bases as we think a dead person has a right to look dead. Embalming is only performed in special cases if the funeral is delayed due to long transportation or similar reasons.

  • I have the most respect for people in this line of work. They have to repair everyone and I mean "everyone" from people who have been run over by heavy vehicles to people whose head been blown off by gun shots however I am told there is a point beyond they will not go and they will notify the family to remind them this has to be a closed casket funeral.

  • @pastelpinkgirly Well, that's what happens.

  • @pastelpinkgirly I want to do this when i'm older, so i don't see what's really gross. We all have the same organs inside us, so why is it gross?

  • @kidkong584 Some would consider it gross but it's actually a very nurturing profession. Congratulations on your decision! You'll make the passing of loved ones easier on their families, and that's saying something.

  • @countmein33 thanks. i used to want to be a doctor. the idea of being an embalmer scared the shit out of me. but then i thought "would i rather work with living bodies that i could mess up one thing and kill them, or would i rather work on dead people? hmmm"

  • i am actualy considering going to school to be a mortician...

  • Interesting. It would cost a family about $100 to have their loves one embalmed during the civil war. The man who perfected the art of embalming in his time, requested he not be embalmed when he died.

  • WHO IS THAT CALLED WHEN THEY PRESERVE YOU FOR LIFE LIKE WHAT THEY DID TO LENIN. AND BY THE WAY DONT THEY TAKE ALL YOUR INTERNAL ORGANS OUT TO.

  • @pvsg1990 do you mean like an undertaker?

  • WHO IS THAT CALLED WHEN THEY PRESERVE YOU FOR LIFE LIKE WHAT THEY DID TO LENIN.

  • tits!

  • That girl can preserve me alive anytime....id beat her guts up

  • Eating while watching this video is nothing like being there physically. My cousin is a funeral director and had other jobs before that... I give him and others working in this field a lot of credit.

  • I've often thought that embalming is a form of denial, denying the reality of death.

  • she is still hot!!lolololol

  • I don;t want to be preservered!!

  • Cannot wait until I get my license!

  • the hindus got it right. cremation.

  • This is the school I wanna go to. :]

  • what show is this ?

  • @0505dry90 National Geographic.

  • @DavisCampbell thats the channel

  • i was preety pissed at the fueneral home when my grandpa died because they made him look like a wax figure

  • Preserving corpses could be one of the most pointless things. They'll deteriorate anyway. Christians....

  • @squiresuzuki hows it pointless? it allows people to see there family member or friends in a fairly normal state before theyre buried or cremated. i know i'd rather go to my mams funeral knowing she'd been embalmed and she looks and smells ok rather than go when she hasnt been embalmed, the coffin closed and the thought of her starting to decompose in my mind!

  • @jimmypo Too bad, things decompose eventually whether they're embalmed or not. Life is life. Life dies. Death is natural. People decompose. People turn into dirt. Dirt makes trees and plants. Fighting that just for some christian tradition is stupid, in my opinion. But do whatever you want with your mother's corpse.

  • Close box throw me in the dirt that's it!!!!

  • People aren't afraid of death people are afraid of how they die

  • I've paid for a natural burial. interred into the earth in nothing more than a burlap covering, allowed to naturally and quickly decompose and return to the dirt in which we all came.

  • poor peaple but this is our cycle of life

  • i think i dont want to die

  • its no different than a live body every living thing dies so its nothing abnormal

  • made me thirsty

  • fap fap fap

  • Never had to mess with an embalmed corpse, but I've had to deal with the "ashes" of many people.

In case you didn't know, your relative cremated remains aren't like little fluffy paper ashes. Easily 1/2 of the urn is filled with granular bone chunks of varying sizes--some of which are large enough to show the little marrow holes in the bone--which float on the top because they are lighter. The rest is a foul-smelling dark grey powder that retains a distinct odor of burnt person. Not kidding.

  • @Bullzeye95 Since you deal with that, you'll get a kick out of my story. I was visiting a cemetery that has an on-site crematory. I noticed what smelled like someone was grilling a steak nearby. Same smell as being right at a barbecue that's smoking. Long story short, the afterburner in one of the retorts wasn't working correctly, causing white smoke and particulates to spew into the air. That wasn't a steak cooking, is was a body being cremated! I was so grossed out, LOL!

  • @enigma800 Oh wow dude. That's baaaaaad.

I'll do you one better, though. A funeral director friend of mine had a story he used to tell at parties about a shipping casket he'd received from Europe. Ex-pat guy who wanted into the family plot.

Unfortunately not only had they neglected to pre-preserve the cadaver, but they hadn't even packed it in ice...and the case had been leaking from one corner for days. Best part? Guy was Hep A positive. Everybody who'd touched it needed a Hep A booster shot

  • @enigma800 From what I believe and understand, the dead hear better than we do and should be handled carefully, because they feel everything that touches them...so what about the ones that are cremated?

  • my check from work is scary put my bills on it and awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • ohh man i don't think i'll ever have the guts to do that. i already feel uncomfortable at funerals when its a open casket and i'm far far away

  • I need to go to CCNS.

  • I can understand how this is necessary, and many kids have grown up with it in a family business, but at m college they had a funeral school. All the kids who attended becuaes they just wanted to get into it, were a bunch of weirdos. no doubt about it. Why would you CHOOSE a profession of working with dead people?

  • @xvoy2002 Why would it be weird to take care of a corpse so it doesn't smell or look like shit at a funeral with an open casket? I respect these people helping the related to the deceased.

  • I feel like you would have to be a good hearty person to do something like this. This is where "Treat others the way you would like to treated" comes in.

  • Open-casket funerals are positively macabre.

  • if you eat a plate of mc donalds chips or french frys, they use the formaldahide solution to keep the chips fresh looking for longer

  • wow..i feel so weird now..i have always been scared 2 die and yea i am not no more i guess cuz i kno i will b tooken car of by god and people

  • Anyone have an extra copie of the quran laying around? I'm out of toilet paper! Bring on the comments!

  • @justusleejolliffe troll much?

  • im muslim and i feel the same way you do.

  • @mushakal its really easy to bring faith to god,i was a muslim too but i never used to pray but once i was lying on my bed and i heard the azan (call to prayer) then i went into the shower and started cleaning myself to pray during the shower i was praying to god for mercy for what i had done and forgivness after that i prayed every day listen to nasheed's instead of music i went to quran classes and now death is just a fear that has been shatterred into pieces and it cannot stand in my way

  • alot of them bury the bodies right in the dirt within a certain hr window

  • wait so if embalming is rare. What do other countries do?

  • cremating, burying

  • I had a dream like coffee's once. I was outside of my dead body and was constantly spectating what everyone was doing but could not interact with anything whatsoever. I was just floating around unable to speak or touch. Also thought to myself, "Damn, this is it, eh? This is what I'll be doing for eternity? I thought I'd live longer than this but man... were those really my final words?"

  • Coffee, You will be one day, like all of us !

  • Damn, this video is hella huge!

  • nasty

  • Fascinating stuff! Reminds me of the old Scottish folk song "When a Body Meets a Body Filled with Formeldehyde"....And I don't think the telephone operators at mortuaries should answer the phone & say "You stab 'em, we slab 'em" or say "You call...we haul....that's all!"

  • When I die I wanna be stuffed in a real cool position with sun glasses on and I wanna be put next to the Tv.

  • I dreamed last night that I was dead.

  • How can she handle a diseased body and wear all the protection, then turn around at 1:56 and wipe her nose with her sleeve next to her glove??? Can't believe they let that get by. OSHA would not approve.

  • From my religious perspective of corpse burial, even a little bit of tears splashes on the corpse body can be assumed very painful for the corpse him/herself.

I just shared a thought here, I don't mean to offend any other believers. Peace.

  • we r not scared of death because our faith is stronger than anything ALLAHU AKBAR!!

  • yeah go on,

go on about your religion and all that shit when it's absolutely unnecessary.

Maybe thats why the whole world practices hate on you.

Can we have a button that just deletes people like this asshole?

    Amen.

  • whats up with the vids not workin on ngeo

  • try getting rid of your cookies and browsing history before watching. Click tools then internet options, then click delete on general page, general browsing history page will popup and go down to delete all and click that, another little browsing history box will popup and check the white box and then click yes. I hope that helps.

  • what if you don't want this done to your body. can it be put in ones will

  • Ofcourse. You can put anything in your will. If you want your body donated to science, donate your organs, how you want your funeral, do you want to be cremated. You can even put that you don't want them to slice up your body to look for a cause of death (assuming it wasn't murder). It's your body, even after death and you can decide what you want to happen to it.

  • Thanks, the problem is that when there is money involved anything goes. People rip up dead people because they want to use their organs. Crazy people.

  • by the way, i love your dog!

  • I study law. It's unfortunate, but the sad truth is that anything you wished for, even if you put it in a will, is easily contested after your death. When you're no longer around to defend your choices, it's easy for family members to do with your remains what they wish. For example, even if you registered to have your organs donated after death, your family members can stop them from being harvested.

  • fuckable hot!

  • she's kind of hot

  • Seems like a halloween special.

  • Maybe I shouldnt have watched this. eww. this is kinda nasty and cremation is even worse! ugh i remember my nightmares.

  • All I can think about while watching this is "My god her tan is bad"

  • I feel a lot of respect for the people who does this kind of job, i dont think i could ever do that, iyou need a lot guts

  • @armandomex1980 it has always freighted me, i guess thats why i look. i cant take the autospy

  • @armandomex1980 me neither.yes, you do need a lot of guts.

  • Id rather die than do public speaking to 100 people right now

  • I have always been very intrigued by the funeral business, preservation of the corpse specifically. I recently learned about "sky funerals", a tradition of Tibetan people where the body is flayed and set in an open field for vultures to devour, then the bones and left-overs are crushed into a mush and fed to the birds. I think I would like a sky funeral if not cremation.

  • This is wrong because when this is done, valuable nutrients in the human body are not returned to Earth and thus in the long term, this will cause the Earth to become barren. This may end life and is forbidden in many religions such as Islam for instance.

  • If you knew so much, you would know that "No energy is created or destroyed". So no, the world will not become barren because of simple practices

  • What's your point? What if all people started doing this and preserving the dead this way? Would it still be called simple practices? This has nothing to do with energy.

  • please go back and re-read all the comments on this page so you will know I was not talking to myself...

  • true.. when my uncle died.. my dad and other uncles just washed him, covered him with white sheets and put in a feeble coffin and buried him the next day.

  • I want to be cremated....... when Im dead, my body wont matter, its not like i'll care anymore

  • this is why i want to be cremated. gross.

  • What a pointless procedure. Pump the body with a bunch of awful, toxic chemicals, that will then get leached into the ground as the body decays. Wow, what geniuses thought that up?

  • useless attempt to stop nature's way

  • Well that just lost my......uh........

  • so, this is how they preserved my mother...

  • O.o just take my organs donate them then burn me or throw me in a pit not hard lol, don't embalm me XD

  • im eating while watching

  • Lemme guess.

    Beef jerky? ROFL!

  • im masturbating while watching

  • @chingvang559 try eating while watching bme videos

  • @chingvang559 and i am both drinking and eating. Who says men can't double task;P

  • @chingvang559 You are so strong,Chingvang.

  • @chingvang559 Fresno sucks, and so does Hmong people

  • @chingvang559 same

  • Very interesting.

  • really interesting

  • wtf! they are dead! they dont exist anymore..they are "things"

  • @patricioca those 'things' are peoples loved ones that should be treated with respect, embalming brings comfort to family members when they say goodbye in the funeral home.

  • lol why would anyone go to mortuary school. that's pretty disturbing!!

  • i wanna die bitch fuck you

its the inevitable, and the everlasting

were dead longer then alive, so fuck it let it happen

  • Wow, people (Americans) need to realize that death is unavoidable, watching this was disturbing.

  • Jackass

  • @Urbannnomad its not just Americans that embalm their dead, this docu is put out incorrectly. I am a student embalmer in the UK 95% of deceased in my funeral home are embalmed, regardless of burial or cremation, people expect this to be carried out.

  • hmm, seems to me like death will be just like before I was alive, didn't feel anything, didn't care, couldn't care. QED.

  • that actually makes sense to me dude..

  • My friend went to mortuary school dropped out after 6 months because of the way his class mates treated the bodys. Mainly the female bodys, slaping tits, rubbing tha vag. real gross shit. And one guy was kick out because he cut the head off a penis. Thats why i want to be cremated asap.

  • WOAH

  • :O seriously?? thats so disrespectful...

  • Man that is just hideous to read

  • i so dont want to be embalded it seems scary i just want to die naturally and for the my body to leave in a natural way not be all like a clay statue

  • just make a will, state that you do not want to be kept alive by a Machine, you would never halve to worry about it...litteraly

  • true

  • this is always a tricky subject. i'm an organ donor and think that once you're dead and your loved ones have said goodbye, then the best thing to do is to try and help others in need. there are a lot of religious and philosophical ideas that don't like any kind of "desecration" of the body, though. it's all pretty interesting.

  • yeah i totally agree i think it would be beutiful dat even thought ur gonne part of you may be alive in someone else even thought some religions say dat by not having parts of your body when you come back in reincarnatiion it will affect you

  • Just bury me in a hole, I really dont care as long as my body is not abused or molested lol.

  • shit is fucking gross and fucking weird

  • lol...1:14 i bet shes really dead..? kinda sad that ppl would "donate" their love ones for them to be test dolls like rats and mices....

  • Right, throwing them in the dirt is just so much better. God forbid they might end up leading to something new.

  • People can also donate their own body to science

  • those cadavers are usually used as a part of many crutial experiments in various scientific fields. read "Bodies" by mary roach, its quite a good read and has many examples of the importance of cadavers in scientific endeavor

  • I agree... I wish more people would donate their bodies for medical research/education & to the "body farm" for the development of forensic anthropology... its not like their doing anything important anyways... they're dead... embalming is such a waste...

  • They make it sound here as if this is something everyone wants, but in fact morticians give as hard a sell to embalming as they do to pricey coffins. They'll even say that embalming is a legal requirement, which isn't true in most places.

This is less about peculiar American rituals as more profits for the mortuary industry.

  • GOD BLESS YOU

  • new jersey morticians...

  • Thank you.

  • ZOMG ZOMBIES!

  • interesting!

  • can anyone tell me what country should i put so this video wont copyright issue cause i cant play some of videos.. i've put united states and still some videos has copyright restrictions..

  • It doesn't matter what you set your country as. They can tell where you really are so even if you put it as United States they'll know you're not really living there so it won't matter. You have to actually be there.

    Yeah, it sucks.

  • Uhmm.. proxy?

+, theres stuff to re-adress your ip to whatever you want.

  • I was just explaining to this fellow why it didn't work, didn't want to go into all that.

Regardless, all that stuff is lame. If people want to watch something they should be able to without jumping through a bunch of hoops.

  • I'd like to study this XD

  • I have this fear of orange people, like that woman in the video.

  • oompa loompas O.O DUNDUNDUNNNNN

  • i could not do this job. especially not with this creepy/mysterious music going on to set the tone.

  • I WULD LOVE 2 DO THIS JOB..JK this is fukin scary

  • omg!!! people do this wow.. this is interesting =)

  • i thought that was a guy... -throws up-

  • whoa... I don't think that occupation is for me.

  • Since when is it okay to show dead people's breasts? I find those way more offensive than living ones.

  • they're not showing them in a perverted way, i hope

  • interesting.

  • DID YOU GUYS SEE THE HOOTERS!!!

  • 1:38 he banged his head lol

  • LOL

  • i want to be returned to the earth when i die. no plastic heaven for me!!

  • dying is easy, it's truly living that people seem to be scared of

  • Who's that quote from? I heard it recently.

  • dont know

but PTV got a song about it. only i think they say it like- Dying is easy, it's living that scares me to death

  • a family friend of mine owns a funeral home and i once observed an emebalming it was awesome

  • LUCKKKKY!!!

  • i wana be on the hill...
