I fought forest fires near James Bay and they hired Cree and some indians from Alberta. The indians from the west were good workers and good bushmen. The Cree were lazy and useless. Some got lost and we had to fly around looking for them. The one thing I remember is them throwing their garbage in the creeks and watching it float away. We'd have to wade in and remove it. Funny bunch who had no respect from the other men or Indians we worked with.
It's sad that us Canadains dont do enaugh for the First Nations, I mean they were here first, we envaded their contry, we stole their land, give them run down portabuls that can barly stand on their own as schools they, don't get a good education. What the goverment is trying to go is genoside...it desgusts me how we don't do anything for the people in our own contry who have been wronged and live in situations that are unhealthy and unsafe.Would you want to live like they do? There is such a serious, historical injustice here. One of the First steps you might take is to learn that Indians are actually nations (1st) of people, like Italian, Dutch, French, etc., this is their homeland. ok baby steps now, nations are groups joined by language, place + cultural . learn what they are + you begin to put faces to names, see the humanity around you + now your life is enriched. Blanket hostility (there's a historical reference in that phrase) is no more than self-loathing.

@stampederjomama Ask them whether they have clean water, proper schools, proper transportation to schools, proper funding for infrastructure, adequate lodging and enough money to feed their children healthy food and you'll hear a similar response: hardly any of them do. I live in Fredericton, home of one of the richest reserves in the country, yet their roads are in disrepair, many of their band members live in poverty and the reserve is overcrowded.

you have no idea ho many times i got sick living in that house,a house where i grew up and lived in with my grandparents and siblings and some other ppl....ever 2 or 3 weeks i get sick..sleeping at nites with the smell of mold in our basement and idk how many times it flooded there i lost count...couldnt take it anymore of keeping up the counts of how many times if flooded there...I miss living there and most of all living with my grandparents and one pass away a year ago cuz of diabetes

There were some native tribes scattered throughout, all doing battle with each other, Crees verses Chips...and many more historical battles. The whiteman apparently arrived (some think we were here first, maybe) and started to get slaughtered like many of the weaker tribes and then fought back and won. I fought forest fires near James Bay and they hired Cree and some indians from Alberta. The indians from the west were good workers and good bushmen. The Cree were lazy and useless. Some got lost and we had to fly around looking for them. The one thing I remember is them throwing their garbage in the creeks and watching it float away. We'd have to wade in and remove it. Funny bunch who had no respect from the other men or Indians we worked with.
