@acsam12304 It's most likely due to the fact that using digital animation means they lose the grit that the origials had. There is a certain dullness to the clean lines and bright colors that I don't like compared to the gritty and washed out hand drawn stuff.

In 50 episodes the only decent MS/Pilot combinations ever sent after the Gundam boys were Zechs in Tallgesse/ Epyon, and Treize in Tallgesse II. Everything else was either a nameless grunt or a machine that was miles behind the Gundams in technology.

Zeon Deikun believed that humanity`s future was dependent on the promise of newtypes. Not too dis-similar to the philosophy to the PLANT.

Heine Westenfluss (an ace) during the battle of Aprilius one destroyed several battle ships and MS (though he was not piloting a GOUF Ignited at the time).

@properkroe Newtypes and Coordinators are two different things. Newtypes can be viewed as either evolved beings or mutations. Coordinators are geneticily altered not evolved like Patrick Zala believes.

As for Heine his is a Coordinator right? Norris is a normal human, the way I see it is that Norris gets more respect from me than Heine. As for taking down battle ships, Johnny Ridden took down 185 enemy units in his last battle.

Actually it's the pilot that really counts in battle having a level head and a plan along having more fights than other people because of the war. He piloted even a plane in episode 4 he really good as a soilder trying to get rid of the gun tanks before they take off into space.

Well of course, without a good pilot, then a MS really wouldn't be of much use (Except in Amuro's case, since he was able to pilot the MS pretty well from the beginning) Norris was a loyal soldier, that would do anything to complete his mission, as seen at the end of the series. Even a weak MS in the hands of someone like Norris would be a great advantage for whatever side he was on.
