I have to agree with you 666tubeamp...For the record though, I don't think these kids even know who Eddie Van Halen is! I'm not hating...These guys took it to the next level on technique...but lack when it comes to style! Then again Back in 1988 everyone had style and no technique...remember moves like: lawnmower, miami hopper, and other wack ass hopping tricks. Flatland took off when your scuffing and rolling came to play. But we all still TRIP when someone rips out a decade, or a cherry-picker

Fantastic technique! It's unreal what these guys are doing. I'm in awe...

However, compared with the mid-school guys like McCoy, I find this "roll, roll, spin and roll some more" style gets a bit old. Sort of like comparing Eddie Van Halen's playing to someone just blowing scales as fast as possible. The former has pacing, showmanship, flair, variety and technique, whereas the later is all about technique, albeit at a much higher level. Just personal opinion...not dissing anyone.
