If your coming into a corner sideways and your getting to close to the inside of the apex, you rip the ebrake, making no forward movements with the tires, so you basically you are sliding. Then you can shift down if you want, release the clutch and keep the drift going around the corner

I like it how its sped up a TINY bit, it's easy to tell when watching the hand/finger movements on the gearknob, makes the drifting seem that much more brilliant. Perhaps you could show us the original version? Maybe its just your editing software is rubbish and did it auto, but I doubt it.
