Hmmm actually I haven't seen many - and I don't have a TV. But one series I did watch recently (I borrowed it from someone) was an old one called I enjoyed some things about it, like the fast pace and the comedy dialogue. But in parts I thought it the mix of very heavy themes (like rape, gangs, abortion ... ) and comedy was odd/offensive and didn't really work.
Thank you for the feedback. I can see your point about not worrying about having perfect Japanese. This experiment is not so much about me really wanting my Japanese to improve a lot. If that was my goal I would start studying again properly - or put more effort into spending time using the language in natural situations.
The point is more to see how effective this technique (recording video and having people point out mistakes) is for language learning in general - so I can report back to people who watch The Daily English Show.

One good word I think you meant to say
I used to love watching dramas, I'd love to hear your ranking of recent dramas worth watching.

That's interesting ... that's another mistake that comes from how I would say it in English (I thought Kenta-senpai was cute too).

Hi Sarah,
"sugoi" is an "i-adjective", therefore, when used as adverb, it becomes "sugoku".
sugoi yokatta -> sugoku yokatta

0:42 You can say '' kanjou ga waki mashita.'' It means something like I got hot with emotion.
When we call middle age man sexy, you can use '' 渋い(Shibui). But I'm not sure how to describe 渋い in English...
