i'm a roman catholic myself, it's part of my heritage, and by my family's religion. i've been taught nothing about 'gay marriage' in school, religious ed. (even though, i'm older than the age requirement.), and in any other learning aspects. being part of an anti-gay religion and having this community around, is something my family is choosing not to have me and my four older siblings exposed too. i'm not saying that gays are bad people, but simply not exposed or accepted within today's society.

i'm a roman catholic myself, it's part of my heritage, and by my family's religion. i've been taught nothing about 'gay marriage' in school, religious ed. (even though, i'm older than the age requirement.), and in any other learning aspects. being part of an anti-gay religion and having this community around, is something my family is choosing not to have me and my four older siblings exposed too. i'm not saying that gays are bad people, but simply not exposed or accepted within today's society.

If the Federal or State Government calls a homosexual or lesbian union marriage really doesn't change anything. They are still living an unexceptionable life style, except in the own minds. I have friends in catholic school who have divorced and remarried parents, and kids born out of wedlock, which is the exact same sin in the churche's eyes, "adultery" or "sex outside marriage"

@willthacheerleader18 I agree, there are many problems that exist. With any of those sins, there is a danger in letting those kids come to school because it implies that that sin is OK. And yes, there is a hypocrisy in condemning one kind of sin more than another. Whether they are allowed to go or not, the most important thing is for the school to teach the Church's morality. But sometimes, the school doesn't even do that. Their "tolerance" amounts to acceptance and celebration of sin.
