I never really understood the righty / lefty thing. I mean, I cannot imagine playing left handed though sometimes I would try.. that was 25 years ago. Don't need to read music. Actually it is quite unnesescary if you are not planning on playing with a symphony orchestra or playing activly on tv or in studios as a busy session musician. But then again, you could still manage to take it by ear if your good enough.

Nobody can wrap such a tight package like mark knopfler. He can make a guitar do things that i have never heard anyone else do: not Slash, Yngwie Malmsteen, Clapton, Hendrix or anyone else i have heard.

Only one to come close was Randy Rhoads. Perhaps hes not the worlds best singer but it just WORKS with his music. Good stuff.
