  • I'll see you someday janis.

  • This was a great combination...Big Brother & Janis for this brief period...along w/Down on Me this is superb work of an artist who took the roots & kicked it up a notch...the much amligned "first' album was killer & almost un self concious...a great way to hear her...at her best....pax doug

  • Youtubers! Why are you so addicted about like, dislike buttons? This is not the cursed facebook. You did not come here because someone liked (or disliked) this video. You came here, because you love this song. End of story.

  • So Bye Bye dislikers, Bye Bye.

  • LA MEJOR SE HA IDO

  • Oh so much life in those eyes.....

So much life in our time

  • Did you mix this a little bit? It sounds like there's an echo I don't remember there being....

  • @demonqueen91 no mix at all here. Big Brother & the Holding Company did an album before they were "famous". It was on a smaller label (record company) called Mainstream -which was a jazz label at the time. Bob Shad was the producer ( he was for the $) but this turned out to be a folkie album- Janis was not pleased later..and most of her vocals were double tracked....hence the "mixing" you hear. But its Janis. Its all her,,,and BB&HC.SHE ruled the roost however haha! ♥ Ya Janis

  • @demonqueen91 an echo? Nah its just their very first album,,,sorry im continuing this....but this album (CD) is well worth buying. (self titled you can find it on amazon im sure) Its a sweet little SanFran Psychedelic folk rock album. BBHC were NOT great musicians and they still talk crap about Janis but its a great start into the world of where she began (record wise) xx "Jenny"

  • fuck the ONE person who hit the like button!

  • Just a comment on OD'ing: shooting up when you've already got alcohol in your system is like playing Russian roulette. Researchers found that many many fatal ODs were caused by injecting heroin after drinking. They labelled it 'Syndrome X.' Even just a small amount of alcohol can do it. I OD'd twice this way - many years ago, and lucky to be alive today. Janice liked her Southern Comfort, so this may have been what happened. This was her best song, by the way.

  • always been scared my mother was gunna over dose on all that bullshit!! but now shes in a place where i know shes doing better...PRISON! haha but she will be out ina few months and hopefully steers clear of STUPID shit!! i love you mamma!!

  • @mystical21vixen I send to you two a lot of love!

  • @monfilsjtm thank you

  • This is what REAL music is none of the new pop (except Lady gaga) or hip pop are NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING THIS GOOD

  • @Rward783 maybe amy winehouse and joss stone n melissa ethridge.. but they all heard janis when they were growing up

  • @trains1972 I think that Joss Stone is more closed to JANIS than the other. My humble opinion from the south of South America

  • No dislikes? AWESOME:D

  • @thegreef one guy have trolled you

  • @LuKaG96 Damn trolls.

  • Wakkawakka420 You will be remembered by me forever with one word!!

    ****JELLO**** :-)

  • I'm banking she was pushing 60 possibly 70 units... and when you use milder stuff and you use it regularly one can go up that high.. Though I always wondered why?... I never needed to go 70 units. If her first hit had been 40 she could have adjusted to the right tolerance. psha.. its a waste of a high if I don't have enough time to pull the rig out of my arm and put it back down on the table before the full heat kicks in! cause you don't remember anything, that kind of the nod is no good.

  • Never, Never, Never, Never, shoot your first rig over 40 units.... because you can NEVER

overdose as long as your under 50. I would have loved to try some of the stuff she got, I would have lived to tell everyone how good it was! :-) No matter how many times I went to the same dealer I new to NEVER trust the stuff I buy, so my first fix was ALWAYS 40 and when it kicked in and I new I was doing all right I could add a little more. 40 is a really good high at no risk of death!

  • @iamjustjen You shouldn't even be doing heroin anyway. It's no good.

  • @donjames150 Of course I haven't. I'm still rather young to be on the drug scene and knowing my ADHD and such, limiting myself or curbing an addiction would be near impossible. Also, I wouldn't want to risk anything. After seeing what happened to lovely Ms. Joplin here, and many younger celebrities, I wouldn't want to go down that road.

  • @ThatPurplyThing you are right, people shouldn't use heroin. Opiates are pain killers for when we really need them, not for recreational use.

  • @iamjustjen Really? Can NEVER overdose at under 50 units on a 1cc rig? Cuz I sure as fuck did at 10 units...sure, I had been doin it for 3 years at that point and that shit was blacker than the blackest night and so hard to push down...was like jell-o in the syringe...but you better believe I OD'ed on 10 units in a 1cc syringe...woke in the hospital having a needle full of Naloxone pulled out of me...

  • Love and miss you Janis R.I.P

  • luv me some pearl an this song is deep for me, its helpd me thru some bad times an still does. thanks girl luv u always BYE BYE BABY.

  • Hate moet of her songs, but she has some good ones too. That's one of them!

  • i love this song !! <3

  • I was the cop on LAPD who received the radio call on her OD death at the Hollywoodland Motel on Franklin Ave. in Hollywood Calif. News media swamped Hollywood Station that night.

  • @tcooperent Holy fuck son. That's some nutty as old time Hollywood shit. Word is she got a bad batch.

  • @McNugget06 The opposite.......she got some very pure smack and overdosed. It was more than she was used to. Several people died that weekend from the same supply.

  • @tcooperent what a memory........what a loss..

  • nice lil boobs she had

  • good tune

  • I'm sixteen years old, and I really love this! :)

  • @Irispierus I'm 14 and I do to :D My mum introduced me to Janis when I was like 8.

  • I just downloaded this mp3 at mp3iffy. Check that site out - its sick. Google mp3iffy

  • so cool

  • Everytime I tried to leave San Francisco in the 60's & 70's I'd stick out my thumb to hitch a ride. As soon I got into a vehicle and close the door...This song would start playing on the Radio, It was too damn Freaky... So I'd get out of the vehicle at the next corner and go back to the Haight!

  • Great song. I love it most.
