I guess my talent level is relative. Some people hear me play, and they say I'm really good or advanced. Others consider me a beginner because I've never had any formal lessons and just sound out music or teach myself with sheet music.
To say that this is your favourite piano song resonates with the deepest chords of my hearts.Well said,my friend this is the best piano piece in the history of music.I can't stress this point too strongly but we are the privileged ones living in this era to absorb such divineness of the gift called music.Seems like we will talk
The song is well played my friend! I wish I could play piano like this (Actually I don't know how to play it correctly :p). One thing thou, some passage should be a bit faster
I bought a yamaha keyboard last year with the same intentions as you... and that was to play Yanni. I even signed up for piano lessons. My left hand seems possessed by another person (a very unco-ordinated person) How long did it take you to learn this?
Oh yeah:). I remember my first song I learnt:). I was practicing about half an hour a day, but for nearly 6 months ^^. (BtW it's comptine d'un autre ete by Yann Tiersen, which you might like. If you check some videos of it and you want sheet for it, let me know:P). This one is played really well, and I liked it, which is not a common thing:). Pity your camera's battery has died too early. Thanks for sharing:)
nicely done. i have that same keyboard. have you ever noticed how absolutely horrible the reverb is? if you tap one note on the piano and then let go (no sustain pedal) there is a really processed "sssshhhhh" sound after the note is quickly tapped. idk that's just always annoyed me. thats why im upgrading to a motif xs).
I'm not thrilled with many aspects of this keyboard. I just wanted to buy something that was full size and had a sustain pedal. But, I should've demo'd it more in store before I bought it. Not too bad to start off with though. Next will just be a real baby grand or something.
i gotta say.. ive been a yanni fan for years and i know a lot of his pieces really well and there are many ppl on here that play his music but my favorite thing about yours was the timing. it was absolutely wonderful.. and u played this piece with great care. encore!
It has one sustain pedal... which is pretty annoying actually. On a real piano, you have three and so you can control the sustain of low notes and high notes seperately. But, on my keyboard you can't. :-( oh well. Thank you for the great comments!
Wow what a great Piano piece man, you will go far if you keep playing like that, you should be so very proud of yourself to be able to play so beautifully.
I can't believe you wanted to learn piano for this song.. Oh my god.. Haha. Sorry.

the notes aren't perfect, but you play with more feeling/emotion than most amateurs. the notes will come in time.

I practiced about 2-3 hours a day for roughly a month to learn this song. Maybe spent a little more time on the weekends.
