Brazil has the largest population of Japanese outside of Japan. Sao Paulo alone has the largest population of Japanese outside of Japan. Brazil is unique in this respect. In all other countries, including the USA, the Chinese, East Indians, & other Asians greatly outnumber the Japanese, and the Japanese populations are negligible.

Fabio, ela ganhou muitos prêmios no Japão (categoria jazz) e é uma das principais expoentes da Bossa Nova por lá. Bossa Nova e Lisa Ono são quase sinônimos para os amantes desse estilo, que são numerosos. É muito comum ouvir BN em homecenters e atacados.

Sua voz de veludo casa perfeitamente com a Bossa. Se acha que ela não abre a boca, nem imagino o que vc pensa a respeito de João Gilberto ou do Jobim.

Lisa Ono

Lisa Ono (小野リサ, Ono Risa) is a popular Japanese bossa nova singer. She was born in São Paulo, Brazil in 1962 but moved with her family to Tokyo at the age of 10. From that time on she spent half of every year in Japan, and half in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She became a type of MPB (Brazil Popular Music) ambassador in Japan. Besides singing, Lisa Ono plays the guitar and is a songwriter. Her first album, Catupiry, was released in 1989.

Aos dez anos, Lisa Ono migrou com sua família de São Paulo para Tóquio, onde seu pai abriu um restaurante de comida brasileira chamado "Saci Pererê". Começou a cantar e tocar violão aos 15 anos. Iniciou sua carreira em 1989, lançando o "single" Your So Unique, a parir de então começou a popularizar a bossa nova no Japão. A partir de então Lisa começou a passar metade do ano no Japão e outra metade no Rio de Janeiro.
