Seriously though.....is that suppose to be an NBA arena? It looks like a pretty dumpy place for the most storied sports franchise in your cities history to be playing. I mean, the Mariners have Safeco Field and the Seahawks have Qwest Field, two of the top pro sports venues in the country. But my left nut has more tradition than those two franchises put together. The Sonics though...they've got some pretty good tradition and they won a championship. Oh well, we deserve the team more anyway.
The fans stuck with them through thick and thin??? Uhhhhh, I don't think so. If the fans truly cared, then they would have stepped up and taken action long before it was too late. Everything they tried to accomplish (which really wasn't much), was way too little, and way too late. When you're told by the commissioner of the league that losing your team could become a reality if some things aren't taken care of, and you jack your meat, you kinda shoot yourselves in the foot. Now they're ours.
Sonics fans are definition of real basketball fans not NBA fans, even though the sonics is a losing team and mediocre franchise during it's final yrs. in the league, the fans stuck w/ them throughout thick and thin unlike the lakers, cavaliers and celtics fans who are a bunch of fair weathered fans like mike bibby said, I hope the Sonics return where they truly belong which is Seattle and not in Oklahoma...

This has gotta be the queefiest video I've ever seen. No wonder Seattle lost the team. They're about to see real support, not some fake, pathetic, arrogant, elitist halfassed attempt to claim loyalty by saying "we've had em for 41 years"...that's your claim to fame Seattle? You do realize that having them for 41 years doesn't necessarily mean you've "SUPPORTED" them for that long right? I mean somewhere along the way you started taking them for granted right? You certainly you did......fools.

The real tragedy here is that Seattle screwed up in a big way. They committed the cardinal sin, they broke the golden rule. They took their team for granted. And now they're gonna pay the price. Too little too late people.
I hope that small group of fans in N.O are enjoying the team that we built for them. Must be a pretty crappy feeling to know that you're watching a team that another city helped to grow. It will be funny when some of those guys are eventually playing for us with Durant.
Are you kidding. OKC did not build the Hornets. Chris Paul did. I doubt OKC can make 500m annually, so don't rip on Seattle. Sonics fans, hang in there, if worst comes to worst, become a Laker fan, its great down here in L.A., we back baby!
This will go down as the biggest scandal in NBA history & should lead to the ousting of David Stern IF the Seattle Sonics are allowed to leave Seattle. There has NEVER been a "Good-Faith" effort on the part of Clay Bennett to keep the Sonics in Seattle. He has systematically dismantled & destroyed the team to create fan apathy. When it is revealed that David Stern colluded on this crime from the beginning, I don't know how any NBA owner could approve moving the Sonics out of Seattle to Oklahoma.
Sadly it wont. David Stern will do everything he can to make sure no one will care. Because if people start caring it's his job security and the NBA is in turmoil. It's bullshit. Save Our Sonics!! S.O.S.
Im a SUNS FREAK but I HATE TO SEE THE SONICS GO!!!!!!! :(
