What has happened to wetting hands before applying soap? The ring is, in her own words, a 'NO NO' and using one towel for both hands? She also uses the paper towel on her wrists first and then goes back to her fingers....
if a student nurse washes her or his hands in this way they are out of the class and sent back to year one.... You should remove this video otherwise we think Ehow is not a reliable source of information.
This is medically incorrect....scrub with soap(lather)for about 15-20 sec. then rinse in the water and when its time to turn off the water you need to use another clean paper towel after your hands are dry. And jewelry OFF!!
You say hand washing is so important yet you do not use but one pump of soap, you immediatey rinse off the little soap you use and you do not lather up your hands and scrub them for at least 15 seconds. You didn't purposely scrub around your ring, either. You did not use enough paper towels to sufficiently dry your hands. This is an incorrect way to wash your hands for patient care.
whats with the ring? I have watched lots of videos and the ring is almost always present. Rings can get snagged and rip the gloves especially metal-on-metal. Whats with that? It should be a standard to remove those rings.
ummm.... isnt she supposed to lather up? and besides that she used the same 1 paper towel for everything. u're supposed to use a different one for each hand and then one more to turn off the water. once a paper towel is wet, there is no more barrier between the microorganisims on the handles n to ur clean hands...
Am sorry but this video is not helpful, am definitely not going to do this in my exam or else I will fail she did not even follow the six steps rules.
you would have flunked in Hawaii. You turned the hot water on first and used no paper towel to do so. You said nothing about cuticles. Plus you have a condescending attitude. sorry
Totally Wrong you are supposed to turn the faucet off with 2 separate dry towels !

Your allowed to keep your wedding ring(s) on! So long as you wash them too...like twist them around as you wash your hands so they are clean.
