Well, that's a dumb way to look at something. He belongs in the kpop genre? So if any artist starts off in South Korea, the very first song has to be a song they will do, because it just happens to be permanant for him. So you say, if someone does a rap song, using rap beats, it's would be a rap song. But if Ji Won does it, it's kpop. Ji Won knows how to rap, but any rap song he does, it would have to be kpop, riiiight?

it doesn't matter if you come from korea or not. kpop has rap and hip hop together, but that's not the definition of kpop. kpop has its own history and sound that developed in the eighties and ninties. that means it's not the same entity as rap or hip hop.

if jiwon does a rap song, it's a rap song. but if he raps in a kpop song, it's still a kpop song. a kpop song will have a little dance or funky sound in it, that's how you can tell.

I agree with you on this. In the PI, when the say OPM (Original Pilipino Music) that means the sound was developed in mid 80's and early 90's. If you will compare the hiphop in asia here in the state you will hear the difference of the music and style of the asian artist.

Well for one, Jiwon was in a Pop band, and now that shine left dt, hes trying to fill his spot in along with bizzy with written english and corean lyrics, claiming he is hip hop. It seems obvious that his true nature is within the pop scene, but he wants attention from the hip hop crowd.
