"Lets Talk About Love" is a very nice pleasing song to listen too. Stable voices, very clear.
"Gee" Not bad, Gee's dance is actually hard, not hard as to dance to but to sing with is hard, because it involves a TON of bouncing, and bouncing while dancing doesn't help. Also gee isn't a song that doesn't require a ton of vocal strength so why make it something it isn't...

if you've been following snsd closely since their debut (i have been for almost 3 years), you would know that the girls got increasingly overworked to the point of exhaustion / fainting. some of them like sunny even had to recieve IV drips and was rushed to the hospital during their japan concert because they were so tired. jessica and sooyoung often performed mr taxi with a high fever.
before they had time to practice their vocals, but now they don't even have time to sleep!

Actually, HyoYeon is a pretty good singer o.o It's just that they don't give her enough chance.. If you listen to MR Removed of when they sung Genie in the radio, HyoYeon didn't need SeoHyun to back her up. and she sounded amazing. Considering the facts they are singing + dancing + memorizing the choreography , synchronization ( they are a big group ) and the lyrics , I think they did pretty well and their voices are not as bad as you think it is . think about the microphones' frequency and the programme to remove the background music , these aren't the real singing voice . You should just go and talk to them and listen to them and hear their sweet voices instead .

Guys If you love SNSD you must love all the members it's ok to like some more than others but you cant just put other members down. Who cares if they can't sing better than other members, they all have different things they're good at for example Yoona is a great actress and great at ads while Hyoyeon is really, really good at dancing.
I know that they can sing (they are better now) BUT I don't understand how this is MR removed... when they sing the chorus of gee ("gee gee gee gee baby baby" part), none of them have their mike near their mouth and yet you can hear it clearly.
Hyoyeon isn't a bad singer, there are songs that fit her voice and there are songs that doesnt. That part just didn't fit their voices well, especially while doing choreography. Hyoyeon has her weak points, I've doubted her for awhile, and while she isn't the best singer, trust me, she's got some techniques that Sunny and Tiffany haven't even picked up yet.

Honestly, i think Yoona and Hyoyeon are the weakest singers in SNSD, HOWEVER, i don't think they are weak or bad in general ~ They're just average, but i think with more experience, they can get better. @JForDream Luckily, we still have Into the New World :D One of the hardest dances in K-pop, yet SNSD still sang it well. The only other songs they sang well that had tiring dances was Mr.Taxi (their 1st live only) and Run Devil Run had like 1 or 2 good performances...Their Genie Japanese lives were also infinitely better than the Korean one...They don't really sing well unless they have a break before starting the promotions of their song..
I don't think there is a BEST singer in SnSd,,,,everyone has different and unique voices..they're all special in their own ways and it depends on the listener's ears....For me..I like Seohyun's voice better and I think she sings amazing.....but this is only for me..other people can agree and disagree
For all those who are comparing jessica and seohyun, you can't really compare. Jessica can sing strongly for some songs and her pitch is higher. Seohyun has a usually stronger voice but cannot sing higher than jessica.

The thing with Jessica's voice is.... it's reeeaaallllyyyy nasal. She doesn't sing from her diaphragm. She sings from her throat, which is really bad for you.... it must be especially painful since she's a singer. To a regular person, it sounds high, sweet, and nice, but to a trained ear, you can tell she strains her vocal chords a lot. Poor girl. :(
@BeBeAyumiReturns singing from ur diaphragm is actually better as it provides less strain on ur vocal chords, also helping with singing. cos when you sing, u need air right? and singing from ur throat and nose, means ur cutting off ur breathing to sing. when singing from diaphragm, the air space is alot more. also u dont feel so breathless, especially after singing a long line.

Considering the facts they are singing + dancing + memorizing the choreography , synchronization ( they are a big group ) and the lyrics , I think they did pretty well and their voices are not as bad as you think it is . think about the microphones' frequency and the programme to remove the background music , these aren't the real singing voice . You should just go and talk to them and listen to them and hear their sweet voices instead .

Guys If you love SNSD you must love all the members it's ok to like some more than others but you cant just put other members down. Who cares if they can't sing better than other members, they all have different things they're good at for example Yoona is a great actress and great at ads while Hyoyeon is really, really good at dancing.

I know that they can sing (they are better now) BUT I don't understand how this is MR removed... when they sing the chorus of gee ("gee gee gee gee baby baby" part), none of them have their mike near their mouth and yet you can hear it clearly.

Hyoyeon isn't a bad singer, there are songs that fit her voice and there are songs that doesnt. U can't just listen to one song and assume she's a bad singer, have u listen to her sing As times goes by? Or Please don't stop the music? Or u-go-girl? That part just didn't fit their voices well, especially while doing choreography. Hyoyeon has her weak points, I've doubted her for awhile, and while she isn't the best singer, trust me, she's got some techniques that Sunny and Tiffany haven't even picked up yet.

Honestly, i think Yoona and Hyoyeon are the weakest singers in SNSD, HOWEVER, i don't think they are weak or bad in general ~ They're just average, but i think with more experience, they can get better. This is why i think SNSD is one of the best idol girl groups vocally ~ All nine of them can sing well, with Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany,Seohyun and Sunny being extremely good :D

@JForDream Luckily, we still have Into the New World :D One of the hardest dances in K-pop, yet SNSD still sang it well. The only other songs they sang well that had tiring dances was Mr.Taxi (their 1st live only) and Run Devil Run had like 1 or 2 good performances...Their Genie Japanese lives were also infinitely better than the Korean one...They don't really sing well unless they have a break before starting the promotions of their song..

For all those who are comparing jessica and seohyun, you can't really compare. Jessica can sing strongly for some songs and her pitch is higher. Seohyun has a usually stronger voice but cannot sing higher than jessica.

And Yoong can hit a higher pitch then Yuri n Soo if u rewatch GG vids. I bet Hyo got more dance lessons as a trainee then singin lessons tho... Hyo has a great voice but they don't let her showcase it. YoonHyo are great singers too. The dancers in SNSD are great singers no doubt... SNSD hwaiting~! <3 :D

I just think that SM focuses on Tiffany, Taeyeon, and Jessica's voices so much in songs they give Yoong and Hyo small lines. But overall, I think the whole group has great voices individually.

i adore their performances. on stage and on variety shows , even on star call and cfs , etc etc . lol . even though some members` vocals aren`t as strong , they still sang their part real well <3 i like that they admitted their flaws , but still continue to sing with passion and charisma . with their heart into it . why ? because that`s the career they chose , and it`s the career they love . the career that they put so much effort and training and hope and trust and strength ,thru sweat&tears .

The thing with Jessica's voice is.... it's reeeaaallllyyyy nasal. She doesn't sing from her diaphragm. She sings from her throat, which is really bad for you.... it must be especially painful since she's a singer. To a regular person, it sounds high, sweet, and nice, but to a trained ear, you can tell she strains her vocal chords a lot. Poor girl. :(

@BeBeAyumiReturns singing from ur diaphragm is actually better as it provides less strain on ur vocal chords, also helping with singing. cos when you sing, u need air right? and singing from ur throat and nose, means ur cutting off ur breathing to sing. when singing from diaphragm, the air space is alot more. also u dont feel so breathless, especially after singing a long line.

miss A, Afterschool, SISTAR?? Really? U can't a girlgroup have better body than SNSD. They've trained for 4 years (at least) they had own stylist, training teacher, and everything that another group can't get when they're training. SM had paid a lot for SNSD when they were trainee so don't tell that another group can have perfect body like that. SNSD have TALENT, much better than another idol group.
