Thank you Michael: for your teachings, as we westerners have not been taught in Eastern customs it is fantastic to understand more . This intense teaching was a lot to take in, but it follows what I have been learning.

Luke 23:53 Joseph wraps the body in linen and lays it in a sepulchre until after the Sabbath. Luke 23:55 - women witnesses to what Joseph did with Jesus' body. Luke 23:56 they (the women) prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment." Luke 24:21 Cleopas tells Jesus about his death as they walked to Emmaus- - "today (Sunday) is the thrid day since these things were done."

Rood says Jesus died on a Wednesday and rose that Saturday and, I'll quote, "had nothing to do with Sunday..." Consider Luke24:1. "Now upon the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing spices which they had prepared , and certain others with them (they RESTED on Sabbath Saturday). Luke 24:6 "He is not here (in the tomb), but is risen" Luke 24:7 "..and the third day rise again." FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK IS SUNDAY - even according to both Hebrew and Jewish/Yiddish calenders.

I heard a preacher say that when Jesus died on the cross, the curtain in front of the Ark of the Covenant was torn in half from top to bottom by unseen hands, and this signified that Jesus is the Lamb of God, and no more lambs need to be killed anymore and sacrificed. If this is in the Bible, can you tell me where this is written please? Thank you for all this information. I hunger for truth!
