That's excellent! Especially playing it on classical guitar (although you did use a pick, why not fingers? lol) I've just finished a picked Electric Guitar transcription for 2 guitars (so the RIGHT HAND bit is there too) It IS pig to play, so well done. :)
By the videos I 've saw so far every one uses left hand tapping, so I think you got it mate try finger arpegio(tirando) combined with hammer ons and pull offs, you will get what you want, by the way inspite the guitar and mention that you play with pick I think that you play fast
@MUSICNATURE6 wtf are you talking about, who says that you can't use a pick on nylon guitar? who the hell teach you that the name of this guitar is CLASSICAL guitar? wtf!!!
Hi, nice one. I have a question, please answer :-) When you play alternate picking on nylon guitar do you use a pick? Do you know if it is common? Gonna start learning soloing on nylon and don't know if im gonna practice with pick or not. sincerely
I developed my picking skills mainly on an electric guitar, but yes, here I use standard pick on nylon strings. That approach is actually common among gypsy jazz players, many of which happen to be virtousos - check out guitarist named Bireli Lagrene, he's insane! Using a pick on nylon is surely a great exercise, give it a try, but don't neglect your fingerpicking, too. Good luck!
@dasUberkommando finger picking in my opinion leaves more possibilities open (playing multiple rhythms and notes at the same time with each finger). but as the performer so graciously explained and demonstrated, using a pick can have great results as well.
For these particular preludes I've mentioned I used Luis Moreno's arrangements for alternate picking, you can find the tabs in "advanced lessons" on his website. I've only changed his fingerings here and there to make it more comfortable for myself.
how ever if there is some "bugs" :) very good brother !! i'm trying to play some bach preludes with alternate pickin and it's quite difficult!! you 've done a good work ;-) why don t you try the prelude of the bwv 1007 (in G major I think) and post it... bye
Thanks :) Currently I'm working on Prelude in C major from Well-Tempered Clavier on electric guitar, but that BWV 1007 piece you've mentioned is awesome, too, gotta give it a try later.

@gunjack It means mess or not precise enough. In my opinion your playing it well, but on classical guitar I expect you'll play fingerstyle :D

ewen if it not me you are asking I answer like this you coud play whit a pick on nylon if you have a softer pick than on steel strings
it may also work if the tip is more like a u then a v
between 0.5 and 0.8 mm thikness works for me best when I play on nolyn and I play 90% of the time whit pick I think steel strings is better
