Allroads are fantastic vehicles, great in snow, and handle well when dropped to the floor, but the ZF auto box can go wrong big style! Can happen from 36 000 miles onward (cluch pack ciclip failure £1400 repair, then inhibitor switch at £300 12 months later, ouch!)
Air springs can also give up the ghost from 100,000 miles, so punt yours before this comes around!
Will miss our old "Suzi" when she goes, but wont miss the bills!
These have very good ground clearance and an excellent AWD system. I think their limitation off-road is the low amount of suspension travel compared to maybe a truck.
What's the point in killing the car like this ? It's obviously to low and to long for offroading. Many cars, even without 4x4 can do this once, and then you would pay a fortune to get it serviced. A regular SUV can do this track without a problem as may times as you need it.

we did this to test the capability of the allroad, and it did quite well
these cars arent too low too the ground, the 8.3 inches of stock clearance at lvl 4 is the same or slightly higher than a lot of newer suv's, my ground clearance with the setup i have is around 11 inches.
and i hate to break it to you, but very few cars, if any, without 4x4 could make it up that road
it's the v8 ?
