There is something weird about this when you look at the history of the left. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was one of the few Muslims in the Middle East who supported Israel. The left (mainly the demonstrators) of that time hated him. Today, you will see many hard leftists being very pro-Islam and anti-Zionist. In general they support Marxism as we know. This posting is misleading: In fact it is just a scene from a movie.

But it is based on good journalistic work. German police forces seem to have learned from their mistakes. Nothing is perfect but I have seen a lot of them treating people with respect and mastering de-escalation rather than putting oil into the fire. Perhaps today things would develop differently.
