That buildup is insaaaaannneee!! It gives me shivers. Absolutely EPIC!
But it’s so sad, tha most people seem to get the exact wrong lesson from it: They learn the lesson from the stories, even though at the end, Scroob flips it all around, which is very wise. You can’t just lie to yourself and say you’re now “in a good mood”. Inside you’ll always know how it really is. (And if not, that’s called Schizophrenia, and a worse fate than death.) But it does not have to stop you. :)
@Evi1M4chine It seems that you're the one who's managed to get the lesson wrong, I'm afraid.
He doesn't "flip it all around" as you say - he does exactly as he says, bring you back down to earth. The first 3 elate you, and the problem with that is that it builds up your ego or constructs an image of yourself that isn't accurate. The last one reminds you that you're not perfect, and no-one is perfectly good.
@Evi1M4chine It does not, however, negate anything about the first 3. Remember what the first guy says, that all their messages are true.
We CAN indeed control our emotions. That is the correct message that everyone has received. We are not lying to ourselves about being in a good mood - we genuinely ARE getting into a good mood. The facts told in the final part - that every nice guy has some nasty aspects - does not negate the fact that we can control our emotions.
@Evi1M4chine I don't mean to criticise, I'm just saying :P Just helping you understand that the final messages is to help us control being nice properly without painting an unrealistic image of ourselves that has been created by a rampant ego, instead of completely breaking down the messages in the first 3.
He's right you know - it really isn't so hard to just calm down when angry or upset, cheer yourself up with the little things in life and get into a good mood. :)
all you lot seem big fans of dan and he has just played in the dance tent at jersey live (festival in the channel islands) and was fukin unreal. I was wondering tho wat is the song where he goes on about the brain, the feet and the beat n shit, its sumfin like
'its all about the brain the brain the brain the brain the brain the brain the brain and its all about the feet the feet ... and so on. I really want to know because it was so gd live, please get back 2 me, cheers
It's a brand new song by them simply called "The Beat." It's on their main profile in a show they did at Glastonbury this year and according to them, it'll be on their new album coming out early 2010. Their youtube account is lesacvspip. Cheers!
'If you can't forgive and forget, how's this?forget forgiving just accept and that's it'.The first time I was very pissed off with the world,I had just been ripped off by a friend and had come out of a horrible relationship and that simple rhyming couplet really spoke to me,it wasn't easy but I followed Pip's advice and it worked. Thanks Scroob and Dan
I agree with the two previous comments before mine, this song is undescribeable, amazing does not do it justice, when I looked up the lyrics and read them along to the song I got chills down my back and my mind exploded. It's just wow. This songs made me realise so much <3 ♥
Nothing I can say or type can give this song justice nor any of their other songs. So I'll sadly but happily state it in the only way a lot of us know how to.
The rewards of being pleasant are far more incandescent.
