I saw this when I was 10 and it quickly became my favourite movie as a kid. I still love it today but I recently learned how much of a middle finger the original cast saw it as. I feel bad for them seeing the show they were on turned into something they didn't like. But I love it. I thought MI2 sucked, never saw MI3. I might see the new one.

MI3 was great! I don't get the hate. Now MI2 on the other hand was the weakest. Ghost Protocol seems to have the spirit of 1 and 3 while being a fresh and exciting new entry in the series.

This rendition of the theme is the best because it's (a) closest to the original and (b) it's the most fun to listen to. The idea to jazz up the theme in the later movies was an awful one.

What I still love about this sequence is besides the energy and that great theme is they treated it like the TV show showing you clips of the film in the credits. That is obviously common of a TV show but highly rare for a movie you are about to watch. I knew then this was going to feel like an updated version of the TV series and I was right!

I love how De Palma and the producers went with the classic style opening. Normally today when Hollywood remakes old tv-shows into movies they seem to shit all over the great theme songs of the original shows, but this film version made great use of the theme, at the opening credits (homage to the classic show) and at the breathtaking finale inside the tunnel, when the theme explodes onto the soundtrack.

Love this movie, especially, the theme music.

Tom Cruise was the boss back then. I have the mp3 version of the music. It sounds much better than what I hear in this clip. The irony is, it was only after watching this clip that I decided to download the mp3 version of it.

No, realmente no es una ironía... la historia es realmente inverosimil... simple y sosa. Además la estructura de misión imposible es el trabajo en equipo, donde cada integrante tenía una especialidad en algun tópico; aqui Tom Cruise hace de todo y es duro en todo... para finalizar la escena donde sale volando por una onsa explosiva y aterriza en un tren (creo) es a todas luces inverosimil.

Sin embargo respeto mucho su opinión, a pesar de no compartirla
