  • Barry, why dont you go and live in Prypiat. plenty of cheap land around there.

  • Reactor #1--roof blown sky high

Reactor #2--exposed rods, compromised containment vessel

Reactor #3--also blown sky high with MOX fuel to boot

Reactor #4--blow out was horizontal, exposed core, high number of spent rods stored on top

All four in at least partial melt-down

At this point for you to state that radiation exposure will be similiar to living in the mountains is irresponsible. People are looking to this media outlet for life altering information. BE HONEST.

  • There is a viable, fully costed alternative to the carbon tax that is non-nuclear, will reduce emissions, supply baseload, create 10's of 000's of jobs and reduce the cost of electricity to only $8 per week. Don't believe me? watch?v=qImNRuV4G0Q

  • I don't like the words of Brook: "Fossil energy has won." No one has won a game when people die. It is a sadness what happens in Japan. Neither Fossil nor Nuclear energy is the way, it is Renewable ones. What we have learned so far:

    1. Commercials can not provide safety

    2. Mankind is not ready to handle these kinds of risks

To all Professors out there: Use your brain to make Renewals successful.

  • Post this to your facebook and other social media sites, very good summary as to the timeline of the plant accident.

  • Barry Brook has been one of the experts I have been following during the nuclear crisis in Japan (I live in Tokyo). He offers authoritative and well balanced opinion; he is also being proven right on his main claim: no harm will come to the general public.

  • Great interview. Well worth watching. Recommend it to all. The comments about the deadliness of the earthquake caused fire at the oil refinery in Chibura Prefecture on the northern edge of Tokyo Bay in comparison to the what the fear mongers have been saying about Fukushima is especially noteworthy
