Thank you for posting this. Question, how long did the main voyage from SF -> Hawaii ? or Cook islands take. IE - how long were you "stuck" on the blue ocean for the main part of the trip. I am sure once you got to the small islands it was much easier to get around. But I am curious about the main voyage.

Sailing that kind of distance isn't an easy trip and you must have some stories to tell / advice for us dreamers..

wow, 8 months..... i did not think it took that long.. i am planning to own a Catalina style sailboat and sail from san diego CA to Manila Philippines. It's a 3 month trip if i only stop once to resupply.

Bravo to living your dream which was also mine. I had a Nicholson 32 long keel but due to wifes change of mind never came true, however after an expensive divorce I now live in the sun & deliver yachts here in the Med.

The Contessa 32 MUST be owned by Norwegians with a name like Akvavit the Norwegian spirit, I know this as my new wife is Norwegian from Drobak. Wishing you safe sailing, enjoy your dream
