I've never heard of or seen a feminist protest TV commercials, movies TV shows or real life incidents that belittle, emasculate, or feature violent women towards men in any characterization except empowering to women and often encouraged. Anybody who think isms are not destructive should definitely check their priorities. Isms are not equality. Isms only work as tools to get POLITICAL CIVIL RIGHTS, not absolute justice. The term "we are all feminist", shows the mentality set inside Feminism- which is to deconstruct the male gender.

Also, to say that feminists don't care about violence towards men, is not true. As true feminists, we are against domestic violence towards both men and women. Just because we mainly act against violence towards women because almost all of those violent assaults are directed against women, doesn't mean that we don't care about men. I don't see why I, as a male, should call myself a feminist because feminism is a movement of, by and for women. It's presumptuous to call it an equal rights movement because it only addresses injustices aimed at women, not men. Feminism cannot speak on behalf of domestic violence toward men or joint custody rights for both parents. We freely make choices because the feminist movement was needed at one point.
RE: abortion, I sympathize w/the fathers immensely, but it's the woman's body that has to go through the entire ordeal.

Does shit happen that is not righteous, of course that is reality. Whining about it doesn't fix anything and usually makes matters worse because it creates antagonism.

To me the topic should be what does equality mean. Some are given equality to that which they have not aspired. That fact is bad but reality. To the majority, equality is earned to that which they aspire to. In a free society it's not always true but that again is reality. To say we are all equal is pure nonsense, it says we are all equal to the lowest form of scum sucking humanity and we need not aspire to anything higher since we are equal to that.

The problem with feminism is that while the stated goals are rational and reasonable the ones who call themselves the so-called leaders are often off the rails. That makes it hard to claim for men and women.

It is called "feminism" because it was women who started it. Just like "mankind" doesn't mean just men, but includes EVERYONE. Point is, it is just a title, it is what it stands for that counts.

That is a horrible analogy. Men has the meaning of "all humans" because that's one of the ways it's defined in the dictionary. Feminine doesn't have the definition "equal". And even if you try the excuse that it's just a title, you have to explain why feminists never care about men who get raped by women, men who lose opportunities for jobs on corporate boards in European countries that mandate gender quotas, or think having different athletic requirements for fire-women is somehow equal?

Exactly Right YGR! Example, I am Pro-Equality, and don't feel the need to be a 'Masculinist'. Feminism is innately sexist! It's goal was never 'EQUALITY'. It's defacto goal was to invert the power structure, and make males subordinate to females. Look at the world today and you see Misandry all around!
