    lol

  • hahaha brill !!! xD

  • Its a film about a man playing chess with himself, simply. However there is so much meaning and metaphors woven in. Everyone has their own reason why they love it. I myself love his engagement and emotion. Pixar is an amazing group of people. I love almost all of their shorts, but this is my favorite.

  • Brilliantly made! I very much like you changed the ending a bit :)

  • still cracks me up! HAHAHAH!

  • wow! that was an amazing film. bravo!

  • Sooooo great! I'm soooooo glad that there's a live version of the Pixar's animation, and that there's a real old man playing in it and having fun! *v*

  • hahahah great film!

  • ...he couldn't have been in check when it was his opponents turn...

  • Amazing remake of the pixar short!! hahahahahahaha! you had to change the ending a bit, still the actor was amazing! did you saw those expressions? hahaha! simply amazing!

  • @eatthatpopcorn Ya they stuck right to the actual animated short lol

  • wait...i really don't understand this film even when its animated? can someone help me understand this pls????

  • 4:00 no! in the real short film the winning piece wasn't the horse it was the queen :) jk...great film though :D

  • @caninenutritionist Nah, it's pretty easy. I know how to do it.

  • 3:32 no glue, look at the leaves, "just" fast-forward

  • you played a game for a dancing charlie chaplin? lol

  • OMG!!!! at 1:03 it shows him moving the pawn, but in 1:11 it is back in the same position. then back again at 1:15. WTF?!

  • @mOsherfr3ak69 Los Angeles, but I'm glad you can't tell :)

  • thats amazing :)

  • Ah!! I love this!! :D This is my favorite Pixar short. Beautifully done! I love it!

  • there´s 37 stupid people who saw the video

  • can you do this?

  • 0:11

Why's the black chessman missing which he just pushe forward?

  • I was so happy when you had "both" of the opponents in the one scene.

  • @toysrmine37 Glad you liked it!

  • @Citrus00Fleming No glue ;)

  • Not exactly the same but very well done

  • amazing, greeting from Egypt

  • @gkababa Hello Egypt!

  • Looks like my grandfather lol XD

  • @SamLuvsJamesDean it is!

  • @eatthatpopcorn Yayyyy my grandfather is FAMOUS!!!!! LMAO XD

  • This is the greatest video I've seen in years!

  • @VerticalhorizonXL Wow! Thanks, much appreciated!

  • 1:10 when he goes to move back to the white side the black pawn isn't moved.

  • what does the music box play?

  • Hey that's a nice park.

  • I personally think, different game or not, this was awesome! you did a wonderful job, and I applaud you!

  • LOL HE WON!!!!

  • My god! this is fantastic! very compliments, it's a real good job... great!

  • @gdx1990 thank you!

  • amazing!

  • hahaha this humors me so. ignore the little technical things missing, this was great :D

  • @Halfbloodalchemist Thanks!

  • it is good but you forgot the part where the other guy feels his heart and puls on his arm, before looking under the table.

  • I don't care if you messed up or missed this thing. I love it. It was just like the animated version to me. Great video!!!

  • This is awesome. You are awesome.

  • Very nice. It is also funny to know that we live in time in wich we make reallife parodies on animation movies

  • B R A V O ! ! ! !

  • NICE

  • at 0:55 the black pawn isn't there...

  • LOL the leaves at 3:33 XD

  • Very creative!!!

  • the game play wasn't the same =(

  • @jenshu7 In what way? I copied it exactly from the original :)

  • @eatthatpopcorn the game play. for the actual chess game. I believe it was checkmate with a queen and bishop. Not a queen and a knight. And the queen was on the wrong side. Not that this wasn't wonderful and awesome. Just saying.

  • @eatthatpopcorn the last moves (before the "heart attack" lol XD)

  • @eatthatpopcorn he is right popcorn u messed up a couple details but other than that great job and if u dont believe me reply back and ill give u the times its a bit different its only very minor details tho

  • @eatthatpopcorn not exactly but darn close. the queen made the last move not the knight. lol. But really darn close. And Geri with the glasses had his king in the space at the back of the board closest to him. But you did an AMAZING job! This was really well thought out & made! Congratulations! I applaud you!

  • @jenshu7 yeah, you're right. But this doesn't mess up the story)))

  • @etruscilla I didn't say it did. I was just observing a fact.

  • What's the actor's name? Does he partake in bum sex?

  • at 1:25 that pawn has already been moved before he even moved it

  • it happens to all old people eventually

  • Awesome! How long did it take u to make this?

  • @bungiestar754 A long time! 10 hours shooting and many times that editing.

  • Very well done=D

Anyone notice that at 1:24 he choses not to move the pawn but next scene it has been moved? Then the pawn moves back and he moves it forward...

  • Whats the actors name? He's quite good in this role. Yes, I'm serious.

  • @LordFerret920 He's my great-uncle! I'm glad you liked him!

  • @broooor

    I don't consider myself a kid anymore; I'm almost eighteen. :)

  • try again and ask an actor :)

  • The beginning is perfect, very close to the original! Landscape's perfect too. But, in my way of see this, emotion is lacking :/ But I liked it, can't say it's not cool.

  • wow really good well made remake. enjoyed every minuit of it very good

  • @ShaurntheSheep Thank you!

  • Amazing! :D

  • i just found a mistake :p at 1:24 he wanted to move the pawn but didnt move it, the next shot, the pawn has changed position :)

  • Hey what's the name of the second music til the end?

  • DOUBLE PENETRATION

  • una baina bien

  • y the fudge do u keep on blocking the camera? it's not like something gross was showing

  • @mikapet789 I don't understand this. What am I blocking? Mind explaining?

  • @eatthatpopcorn he means with your fingers

  • Hang on. Am I the only one who noticed 2:41, at which moment there is the hand of "one" of the old men, while the other is in the picture. This defeats the purpose of the entire clip!

  • @MultiRoydon That's how they did it in the original :)

  • @eatthatpopcorn I have just watched the original and I stand corrected. Sorry about that. But doesn't it strike you as odd that they did that in the original? It's such a clever and well-made film so it makes me wonder if it was done deliberately. If so, I can't figure out why ....

  • @MultiRoydon I don't know why but it's definitely deliberate.

  • @eatthatpopcorn & @MultiRoydon That clip is filmed from Geri's point of view. As far as senile ol' Geri is concerned, he Is playing someone else.

  • Awesome rendition. What's the music?

  • Cute!

  • Not bad. if the elderly man can act devious on his supposed second personality(just like the animation), it could have been better..but good nonetheless

  • Comment removed

  • That's so well done!

  • so.... ummmm.... like... who won?

  • Nice Video!

  • I usually use 'Scorch Earth' Tactic. Kill as many opponent's attacking pieces, even if it's a trap.

A friend of mine really hate that tactic.

  • loooooooooooooolllllllllllll

  • True to the original Pixar short, and clever too.

  • wow, great

  • That sure was great!

  • @JPProducing Thanks!

  • My grandfather had that same music box!

  • @HavazikFerric Cool!

  • at 3:00 he could've just gotten the queen there

  • @BlueSnech He couldn't because the rookie (castle) was guarding the queen.

  • very good

  • looks like the guy!

  • awww i was expecting teeth:(

  • This was FANTASTIC!!

It was as if I was watching the real Pixar short!!

Excellent job with capturing everything so spot on!

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!

Pixar would be very proud : D

  • Cute! I love it. :3

  • he forgot about taking down the box with chess-men when rotating the playboard :)

  • That was a great re-enactment! Funny! :)

  • "Flambee Montalbanaise" by Gus Viseur. I thought this song was soooo cool when I first heard it. =)

  • AWESOME!

  • I could see myself doing this one day. XD

  • Nice!

  • brilliant!! i love it!

  • The White king was checkmated and he moved a knight to give a second check?

  • This is brilliant!!!

  • jajaja very good muy bueno esta chido

  • also at 1:10 when he walks back around the table the black pawn isnt in postion.

i think its still a great work and a good tribute to the original =)

  • nicely done!

  • 1:25 he hesitates on moving the pawn and when they zoom out..it was moved already..and when they zoom back he moves it barely lol

  • @velarde2 good eye :)

  • @velarde2 well done Sherlock homes ^___^

  • funny that he has to make some efforts to play an old guy :p

  • cute, i love how u changed the ending a bit, everything else was the same as the pixar short

  • This is a FABULOUS video! 5 gold stars =]

  • cool! :D that was some awesome work!

  • Geri has a lot of free time

  • lol. nice name. eatthatpopcorn. lmao. the vid was awesomeness i really liked it :D Geri's Game is my fave pixar short :D

  • There are bloopers at 3:29 and 3:32. The tan pieces are already on the opposite side of the table even though the glasses guy hadn't switched the board around yet. But overall, I loved this. =]

  • @jaydember Nice eye

  • hahaha, you rock. this is awesome.

  • I think you all did an amazing job with this, but I think it's a bit more fast-passed than the original. Maybe it's just me

  • I have always loved this short film. And to this day it is still my favorite. There was only two things that really seemed wrong in it to me. The fact there was no audio of the man laughing every time he moved a piece as a way to antagonize his opponent and the fact the prize at the end was supposed to be dentures and him putting them in and smiling. But still it was a great performance and still was very entertaining to watch. Thank you for the making of the film and posting it up.

  • Nice job! you look so much like the character of Geri. It was very believable. You should do the scene from Toy Story 2 where the cleaner fixes Woody and be the cleaner since the cleaner was based off of Geri.

  • Yeah slower zoom out, There are some hard cuts but You guys hit it out of the park with this. Be proud of what you did I love it

  • lovely! the hands are very similar I liked it

  • blooper at 1:25

  • Quite good. Next film try zooming out a little slower other than that Parfect! Thumbs up & I subscribed :-)

  • Who wouldn't want to see a short film about an old man playing with himself in the park?

  • I've always enjoyed this Pixar short. I'm impressed by how you've performed it. Especially enjoyed shots at 3:06, 3:10, 3:17 - your low camera angle and the dark sky behind it made him seem more menacing.

You missed an important establishing shot near the start though - his isolation would have been better potrayed if you had a shot of him screen-right, capturing the space. You might have zoomed out a tad too quickly at the end too.

    Thanks for this =)
