  • Global warming is a hoax!

  • Hope they do an SLA front suspension if I'm paying that money. And Re-gen braking system. They should an in-wheel motor system. More efficiaent, less parasitic drag.

  • Why dont they just keep the transmission?!

  • are there any vids of theese things in action???

  • My boyfriends dad has a red one with white racing stripes he's going to try to sell. anyone know a person who might be interested email me. Minimum of $60,000. Only has 4500 miles or so. Very clean, amazing foot power, beautiful car! Collectible and will only continue to grow in value.

  • So.. are these being produced or what? Anyone seen or heard about them?

  • IM getting one!! but how would it fare during winter? i live in Canada

  • How many miles can you go on a charge? I'll bet it will only go down the drag strip once or twice before it needs to be recharged.

  • 100 miles per charge but if you run the 1/4 mile and then hit the brakes, the brakes recharge the battery so it will run all day at the track...about 400 times down the track before you need to charge it.

  • I'm sure you'll be able to purchase sound generation programs that mimic the sound of a petrol exhaust if that's your thing

  • eh....fuck that aint nothing like the real thing.

  • You can have that roaring sound sonny while the little old lady goes blowing past you DUPER DUMBASS. Or take your MP3 PLAYER AND PUT YOUR ROAR OF AN ENGINE ON IT.

  • Maybe you heard of global warming because of Al Gore but it IS an issue whether you care about it or not.

Or put it in a more practical way to you: gasoline is running out rapidly! Wake up! What are you going to do with your gas-burner muscle when it can't be fueled?

Energy crisis will hit in appr. 30 years.

  • buckweak y wake up it not about gwarming it about not using fuel from the awraps y keep your gas power car I'll take the electric so I can blow your doors off.......fool

  • Can some body get congress to watch this the saleman said the techical stuff has been around for awhile. It was said at 4:16 HELLO ,HARDLY ANYTHING CAN BREAK ON THE CAR, 9 SECOND QUATER MILE STEET LEGAL, GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND GIVE US THE SAME TAX INCENTIVE AS THE FREAKING HUMMER, CALL YOUR REPRESENTIVES AND TELL THEM THIS CAR EXIST. THE BIG THREE WANT RESEARCH MONEY FOR THIS CAR IT ALREADY IS HERE. SOMETHING TELLS ME THEY CAN MAKE A PICKUP TRUCK TO DO THE SAME DAMN THING.

  • Sure...$80 grand, what a bargain, I'll take 2 or 3. Yeah right. What we need is an EV that everybody can afford, not something that is completely out of reach for the average person.

  • What is going to make somebody that is very very rich that can afford gas to switch. Its never going to happen.

  • Ok is very nice that us muscle car guys have options now with the green cars but come on 1000lbs of tourqe. How are you going to drive that on the street. I hope that they have a button that you can toggle back and forth from lets say 500lbs to 1000lbs. And for the people that are saying oh yeah im in man are the people that will never be able to get one. These cars appeal to the people that cant get them.

  • I can see the market for this if it goes into production.

  • I'm all in! That's what i'm talking about, keeping the performance aspect in cars without them being a green prison on wheels.

  • Oh for crying out loud.

Why does it have to be a Tesla/Mustang/Whatever OR a 35 mph plastic deathtrap?

Where oh where is a regular normal everyday get-to-work-and-home EV?????

Ok, so he said they'll be selling their Mustang EV in 3 months.

It's been 3 months. Are they selling them???

    Anyone know??

  • Quite ironic with your username of Ronaele550R.

  • The EVs doth come.. Bring em on I say.. About time. Who killed the electric car? Who cares. Nobody will kill them this time around.

  • 9 second ET's in the quarter mile!? From this street legal mustang? Un heard of is right and will continue to be even with this car. First off you could not possibly put that kind of power to the ground without tubbed out rear and adding larger drag tires and a narrowed rear drive line. This guy is a salesman and has no real experience in the motorsports world and only learns what he knows about building cars from the outsourced development he has to pay for in order to get them built.

  • HOW MUCH HOW MUCH HOW MUCH???????

  • Bring in your S-197 platform mustang and they make the electric conversion for $80,000. Yes, its a pretty penny but upside: Super performance and never having to deal with sucky gas prices again.

  • Wonderful work by the developers and thanks for the post. I love this product and direction the technology is taking us. I agree that most people drive less than 120 mile daily so the range of electric vehicles is practical for a dialy commuter. The question that I have is what do we do when we want to take a weekend trip or family outing or trip accross country? Will we be able to plug this into a standard wall outlet to recharge?

  • You can use a Genset trailer to extend the range. Electric cars can be practical for long distance. Also, he said 15 minute recharge, that probably requires a special outlet.

  • Thanks for the comment and suggestion. If the generator is required then is the hybrid vehicle the ideal? I like the concept but reeally can't consider paying so much for a vehicle that I can only drive locally or have to hook a trailer up to for a long trip. An electric vehicle equiped with small gas powered engine or better yet a small HHO (water engine) to recharge the batteries would probably be the ideal and should eventually be cost effective.

  • You have to remember this is a performance version. More typical EV conversions cost significantly less. The idea behind the trailer is that most people won't have use for the extended range daily, so having the generator/engine in the car will mean dragging useless weight, lowering efficiency. I suppose the GM Volt is a better alternative if you do frequent weekend trips, but this isn't true for most people.

  • Yeah, tribluered is right. You can use a genset trailer to extend the range on those long trips.

  • Noe this is what we need. Good job guys lets build more of these for the USA

  • I second that, its time americans became energy independent as a nation. I just hope I'm not dreaming, pleeeeeeeeeeeease don't kill the electric car this time around.
