  • Your Pops must be a pretty cool dude. Your a lucky sob ha ha.

  • Dont you think you could squeeze in another batterie to make sure you dont get let down some cold morning ?.

  • Crazy, My drawtite brake control is mounted there to.

  • Beautiful

  • Well I am building a truck just like the but not as nice but it is a 55 factory napco 4 wheel drive but mine is goin to be a cummins with a auto. Did you have any problumes with space. And ur truck a devorced transfercase?

  • that is the coolest truck ever i am putting a 24 valve in my 1990 chevy sport. what type of tranny did you use?

  • It's so beautiful ._.

  • That's an AWESOME truck! But, I'd put the correct engine in it or maybe a 292 straight 6 and use the diesel as a boat anchor.

  • @Kolfritz put the corect engine in it??? what if he uses it and dosent let it sit in a garage like so many people do? id rather have a 12v cummins in there ANYDAY!!! plus unless its the MATCHING #s engine, whats the point, this truck FOR SURE would be more Valuable with the cummins in it than a NON MATCHING orig size engine... this truck is perfect!

  • @IRONSEAN7 Well, it depends on who you ask, though this truck probably did have a fairly common inline 6 in it. But it ruins the originality of the truck to have an engine that wasn't factrory in it. For more torque, GM put Buick 322 Nailhead engines in some of those trucks- now that's cool. I have a 1962 GMC 1 ton dump truck that has the original 305 V-6 and it's staying right where it is. When's the last time you saw a GMC with that engine? Most folks haven't even heard of that.

  • @Kolfritz

No, that inline cummins will stay in there. Sorry. You just totally disrespected everything.

  • @iammyantinerd I definently have NO respect for diesel engines. I used to use diesel equipment on my farm. They stink, constantly have issues with fuel quality, injector pump problems, don't like cold weather, they're just not convenient, clean or cheap to operate. Two years ago, I converted 2 Farmall M's an H and a C to run on E-85: Best investment and decision I've made in years. Now I don't have to worry about tractors not starting, and I've saved lots of money on fuel.

  • @Kolfritz

you obviously don't know anything about diesels. They last longer..about 3 times as long as a petrol engine, they run cleaner, they pump out more torque, lower RPM's, more reliable, can handle long periods of time under load, better fuel mileage in comparison to a petrol engine. I could sit here all day explaining the benefits of diesel over petrol. Take a look around, why does all heavy machinery, heavy duty trucks, generators, farm equipment, etc. run on diesel? One word, reliable.

  • @Kolfritz

Oh and also to add, the reason you probably had issues with your diesels, is because you know nothing about them in the first place. The whole fleet of tractors where I used to work cold started in no more than 5 or 10 cranks. That's cold starting, not even letting the plugs warm up. The key to diesels is really just maintenance, even then, they practically need none except for oil changes.

  • @iammyantinerd Now don't assume I don't know anything about diesel engines. I have two certifications- one in automotive repair and one in agro-industrial heavy equipment repair. I just find diesel engines to be a noisy pain-in-the-rear.

  • @Kolfritz All original is cool... but I wouldn't change a thing on this awesome truck!!! I like the fact that he uses it too instead of a garage ornament...JMO

  • What is the NAPCO? Never heard of that before.

  • @sokodad "Northwest Auto Parts Company" GM sent them trucks and they installed the front axle and transfer case.

  • @sokodad napco was a four wheel drive train conversion that was offered by ford an chevy in the 50s whitch turn your truck from two wheel drive to four they are a we bit hard to find these days but id love to get about a 56 chevy suburban napco 4x4 in cherry red whit white interior all original whit ether a 283 v8 or a 235 strait six whit a 4 on the floor an this is coming from a ford guy LOL

  • is it all original

  • @flippedmysled Yessir, except for the motor

  • Comment removed

  • @trialsmasta357 I wouldn't sell one like that either. Have to say it looks factory new though! Must be garage kept. Only things I'd add are dual through bed exhaust and a CB radio. You really do have the coolest truck ever.

  • beautiful, awesome truck.

  • Does it have the 4bt or 6bt Cummins? Also I must say your truck is beautiful! I'm restoring the Dodge Sweptline my great grandfather gave me and I'm about to start putting a 4bt in. How much do you estimate your swap cost?

  • What a wonderful heirloom!!!

  • Nice truck

  • NathansBackwoods... They are 9.00x16 SuperTraction, but for some reason he wont tell you that... Idk. We have been running these tires on our mud bog trucks down here in Kentucky for many many years, they are hard to beat. They measure 9 inches wide and about 34 inches tall. I have a set of 9.00x20's with 8 lug 16.5 wheels welded inside, 43" tall and awesome in a mud pit

  • Can you make a video on your jack?

  • Excellent

  • what tires do you have on that?

  • Wanna sell it?

  • @BAndersonHGSASalum im never sellin this truck. my dad gave it to me and im keepin it.

  • @trialsmasta357 Can you tell me what NAPCO stands for please

  • hey nice truck!!! how high is your lift?

  • I think your pops needs another son and I volunteer! That is a very nice rig. Thanks for sharing!

  • Sweet 6BT...nice job!!

  • What kind of transmission u got in that beast

  • one of the best walk arounds ever! u even have ac hahaha

  • Man, thats is great! Probably one of the coolest Cummins into Chevy swaps ive seen! Great job! She does looks like she could use a larger diameter exhaust system though.

  • Damn thats sexy. When can you build me one! lol

  • Aw man great truck! i have a 58 Apache as well! what are the tires and rim specs?? and where did u get them?? This is the meanest one i have seen in a along time!

  • hey nice truck!!! how high is your lift?

  • Well, you have a sweet truck. I am restoring a 55.2 Chevy 3100 and added 1958 Napco running gear. The 58 also had a factory PTO winch which makes it pretty unique. Napcos are just awesome.

  • @jomichael32 They are. They work almost just as well as the new stuff

  • Does the original radiator keep that engine cool enough?

  • @jomichael32 yes its a four core radiator.

  • Great video. Just wondering, What did your Cummins out of? And, How do you like the VP44 vs the P7100? Any plans for mods?

  • @wiseguylt4 that's not a vp44, its a VE rotary pump. That engine is the predecessor to the P7100 engines

  • Awesome truck. Does it have the original 4:56 ratio axles in it?

  • it does, I'd like to put some highway gears in it

  • Are the tires 900x16?

  • yes yes they are. I think.... I'll have to check.

  • What year Cummins 6BT is under the hood and any mods? What gearbox are you using, the Getrag or NV4500 5-speed manual? I ask too many questions, but I like it!

  • It's a 1992 i THINK. and the Tranny is out of a Chevy, not sure what model tho.
