@azuer143 Actually in this case if you wanted to go by actual 40k rules this was the only good option. The space marines charged so that the orks wouldn't get their charge bonus, which for orks is a huge advantage. If I had a tactical squad in that situation I'd move up fire my bolt pistols or any other assault weapons and charge. If the sargeant had stayed he might have gotten a few shots in and maybe gotten a few orks, but then get completely torn apart.

This game/intro began my love for the space marines and the warhammer universe!!
But the only problem i have is u read about space marines killing at least 30 orks without breaking a sweat in the books so why did the lose??? @0komrd Plus Orks get 4 strength when charging, which it looks like they were about to. In the context of 40k, this was actually the marine's best chance of doing some damage.
when I bought this game, back when it was released, and I first saw this, I shat some serious bricks over the idea that 3D cinematography could be used to display WH40K storyline rather than models or games. I'm still waiting for a fucking epic 40K movie, not some bullshit like the modern Transformers movies, but something that holds true to the 40K saga.

A. This was certainly out before Soulstorm, so this is before Boreale's time.
B. He is a sergeant, not a commander, leading a squad of marines against a friggin' lot of orks.
C. Perhaps he was told the Orks had armored support, and thus requisitioned an anti-tank vehicle? Probably be some kunnin' kommando.
D. Boreale is far worse, his battle cry depressed his troops, his tactical genius was non-existent, and he was just a complete idiot. A stain on the Blood Ravens honor
Love this intro, but the sounds are all wrong! Bolters are not machine guns! But they fixed this in Dawn of War 2 and made the ultimate bolter sound there. The sounds of battle in that game are the best ever.
And as Sergeant Indrick Boreale looked out upon the battle field....

A. This was certainly out before Soulstorm, so this is before Boreale's time.
B. He is a sergeant, not a commander, leading a squad of marines against a friggin' lot of orks.
C. Perhaps he was told the Orks had armored support, and thus requisitioned an anti-tank vehicle? Probably be some kunnin' kommando.
D. Boreale is far worse, his battle cry depressed his troops, his tactical genius was non-existent, and he was just a complete idiot. A stain on the Blood Ravens honor

Love this intro, but the sounds are all wrong! Bolters are not machine guns! But they fixed this in Dawn of War 2 and made the ultimate bolter sound there. The sounds of battle in that game are the best ever.
