  • jesus shit this gives me chills. The Whispers & Leon Sylvers were crowns back then.

  • My FAVORITE song by the Whispers...that is not their Christmas songs...

  • luv you, your songs will never go out of style in my books.

  • @Hermeto77 have you listen to local artist in Atlanta, Philly or other U.S. cities? i dont mean heard of them i mean see them perform live? just because you cant find something on the net from the cave of your 3rd world country doesnt mean it isnt out there. i find it funny that you think that good r&b doesnt exist anymore but you wouldnt even know where to begin to look to find it. and the crap that you are calling r&b is pop music. get your facts right before you come at me. im done with this

  • @rmiles01 off course Usher is not R&B. at least not for me but for music industry yes, they are. go figure.... as far as Philly sound(whicj I'm a big fan off) or Atlanta I would like to see them playing but here in Croatia, Europe we only get to see mostly Jazz. not that there is anything wrong with it. I love Jazz. but I would love to see Fertile Ground again or Incognito.... such bands... AMP Fiddler or something similar to RH Factor which I never had a chance to see them but I have CD's.

  • @rmiles01 and Miles, thanks for calling me cock. I really don't care. if I would know you maybe, but just maybe I would care. your language speak for you. about 3D world country... save me from the crap please. Croatia ignorant? google for yourself and before opening your filthy mouth and you talk to me(you started it) check it out so you dont put yourself in a new blammage situation. and the last thing your Majesty, I didn't come to you. you came to me so cut the crap.

  • What year did this song come out?

  • @bpot22 1983

  • These Brotha's can still do it today....

  • Basement Party dancing your brains out...............Hey

  • Now this is what I call a lunch break!!!!

  • i wish the stupid idiots now in 2010 would be cool like these guys

  • Kive these guys, Smooth, well reheased and Nice Threads!

  • @Very AnnaLicious: This is boring and weak to you and in ten, fifteen yrs somebody else, like your child/children for example is gonna listen to what you thought was great when you were younger and say "this is wack!!!" Times change what you think sucks not only didn't suck back then but it's timeless cuz it doesn't suck now. Just for the record, you being in your early 20's you were probably conceived to a Whispers song. Whispers for ever!!!

  • Its crazy cus as I was reading the comments I realized how boring and weak this is..Im n my early 20's so I kinda like our music nowadays better. I dont know how I ventured here.. But I understand how u feel towards the change in music..I like rap from the late 90's n they dnt make it like they used 2, so I feel u, all those who miss this..2bad i dont..

  • head nodder!

  • @ConceptBeats

YES, definitely an ole school "head nodder" .

  • AWESOME! <3

  • Are the Whispers Rock in Roll Hall of Fame worthy? Hell Yeah, another group that should have been in. Why aint they in?

  • Man I use to love this song back in the 80's! I still do. Nothin' on the radio sounds this good these days!

  • top tune nice suits !!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • I wish thier was a way to download and burn videos

  • How I love this song.Just listen to the bass.Fantastic groove.

  • LMAO , my two bosses are in the front!!

  • brilliant, the whispers r the best!

  • I'm 21 and I totally love music like this

this is more badass than lady gaga cause...the BEAT is banging and funky

  • car salesman?? lol but this cars salesman can we trust

  • They're dressed like used car salesmen but the whispers can sure get down

  • @ohohohno13 Actually, used car salesmen try to dress like them. LOL

  • @ohohohno13 No, I think the car salesmen, dress like them.

  • Yeah but damn they can sing.

  • I have been looking for this song for 20 plus years. This song is awsome!! Whoever posted you and youtube are a godsend!!!

  • "CLASSIC" song never grows old, jams in my soul forever!

  • amazing

  • Hey Scotty? Yeah? What's that mean?

  • they don't make 'em like this anymore.

  • genuine and authentic!!!

  • for the grown n sexy

  • I swear this is the greatest music video ever made.

  • @Eyeslam I totally agree!

  • I totally agree as well. I watch this almost every day. If I ever get down, I watch this and before long I have a huge grin :)

  • These were some cool brothers. There music is timeless but only for us grown and sexy people can i get an amen. There is only one thing to say to that special person.....just keep on lovin me

  • the two front men looked like a black super mario brothers. anyway this is MUSIC!!!

  • @seraphs85 : BTW the two "front men" are identical twins.

    Love this song!

  • wow! now I know.

  • I love the album cover. It is a drawing of the whispers. I love it because they are so handsome. I dont have a record player. I just bought the album for the picture. Now as for the song. I am telling you, new school has nothing on old school. Never will.

  • This upbeat cut goes hard. See, I don't know about everyone else, but I bump the classics as if they had just been released. A couple of days ago it was Willie Hutch's "Love Power", "I Choose You", and "Brother's Gonna Work It Out". Today everything from the Whispers and later on, perhaps some Marvin Gaye... and the irony of the whole situation is that I'm only 21. My generation has no idea of how ill the legends really are.

  • Does anyone know if the exterior of this video was filmed in Century City? It looks like Century City to me, but I'm not exactly sure.

  • really dope!

  • are the lead singer related to that guy who plays lamar in sanford and son and his twin too

  • great .. i love

  • Outstanding!!!

  • loving this song for real. VH1 played it on Soul School and now i'm hooked. I play this song like it just came out! lol

  • love this damn song.. who produced this>?

  • I think that Just Blaze did the beat...as a 3 year old! LOL

In all seriousness, it was probably Leon Sylvers...The Whispers were signed to SOLAR Records.

  • The Whispers are smooth, classy and just plain ALL THAT! I don't care if they are getting up there in age. They are timeless. Their dance moves are STILL tight. They didn't and still don't have to have booty shakers on stage with them. THEY kept (and still keep) the audience focused and entertained. PEACE TO THE OLD SCHOOL R&B ARTISTS!

  • Just like wine The Whispers......

    get better with time!

  • Smoooth!!

  • very cool the whispers

  • I never knew there was a video for this! Deliciously corny! Love the Whispers!

  • wow, great bass. amazing groove! no todays black music crap can match this!

  • @Hermeto77 sounds like you are only listening to the crap pushed out by the major labels.

    you need to search deeper

  • @rmiles01 oh sure. you know what I'm listening at home.... I keep away fom major labels and don't need you to teach me about black music.

  • @Hermeto77 yep, Snoop and Pac crap..... go teach me please! so I could dig deeper into real black music.

  • @Hermeto77 there are plenty of good r&b artist in current times is the point im making. but yes a lot of stuff now is crap.

  • @rmiles01 oh please spare me the demagogy. there is no plenty quality music today. especially in so called R&B. there is mostly bitches, gold chains gangsta crap but nothing in quantity close to 80's, not to speak about 70's. Usher? crap! Rihanna? crap*2, beside being moron..... i could go on forever... how can you compare to 80's or worse 70's? come on, please... r&b today is sterile crap transformed by "big" producers in projects tht bring money from brainless, tasteless kids....

  • @Hermeto77

the mistake your making is thinking i only listen to prepackaged "pop" music. you call usher or rihanna r&b? that lets me know that you have no clue what you are talking about. 80's r&b is solid gold to me..isley brothers anita baker, regina bell, and so on. i never disagreed that 80's r&b wasnt good, the point i was making is that there IS GOOD R&B out there right now. but your not going to find it on major labels. i could send you links, but since your a cock i wont.

  • @Hermeto77 Amen to that. The Whispers is one of the absolute best musicial talents that there ever was. I totally agree. What accounts for black music, R&B today is sadly lacking. The Whispers are masters of song styling and they are positive. You remember positivity in music. Now in today's black music men are bashing women, calling them horrible names and vice versa. Where the hell is the love? All hail one of the best groups ever--The Whispers.

  • @mimzy4u yes, you're so right. simply but precisly diagnosed! I wish a lot of love to you.

  • I luv the move of the singer between 2:03 and 2:06 it's hot !!! The guy in red & the singer can move ! waouh ! They really enjoy themselves.. Thank u bol2funk for posting this

  • @tesguet2 YES! didn't he kill it? For videos to be so new at the time, they certainly played to the camera expertly...

  • paulgaryallbritton1

  • Why can't the radio stations today trash the current GARBAGE and play REAL MUSIC from the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s???!!! Ya know, music with substance!

Too many young singers today have ZERO TALENT. Disgusting. They'd do the world a huge favor by learning from the real pros.

  • you got that right. its all about marketing today. these guys used be REAL musicians

  • This is REAL music!
