where did you get the kit from? did you install it yourselves? did you have to fab anything to get it to fit on the truck? i been looking into one for my 94
The only id in owner's manual is "Uni Hoist".The kit is for 3/4 ton Ford. The scissors mount to the underside of a crossmember. There is none on the Toyota so I built one between the two front bed supports. The sciss. are mounted off center, to clear the gas tank. In the video, it shows the crossmem I built made up from 2" sq tubing, 4" C chan, 1/4" plate, and 1 1/2" x 3" sq tube.I had to move muff hangers, cut frame tube, and reinforce.I mounted the 12 v hyd pump on this new plate. A LOT of mod!
Hi, thanks for your comments. The rack is a sports rack from "Rack - It" (rackinc.com). I ordered the rear window guard, and I recommend the powder coating rather than the worthless, no primer paint it comes with. A recent price with these options, installed, was $1000. It is not the same truck without the rack!
@insanecomedy75 LOL yeah right one loads gona break a truck with a 1 ton frame. Toyota trucks are the toughest on earth! There is not one thing fake about that truck.
Thanks for your comment. My biggest struggle was the rear bumper and trailer hitch. They had to move with the bed, yet be strong enough to be functional. Several generations of repairs have finally done the trick, but it would be far easier to throw the bed away and build a frame on top of the existing Toyota frame, and then install a nice flatbed - I probaly will never get around to that, This configuration is just too handy!
Good work boy,

I recently hauled a single rock home in it that weighed 1673 pounds. Apparently, this could dump quite a load of squatters!

Do you know who the manufacturer of the lumber rack is?
BTW, I have an almost identical truck as this. I have to put a dump on it like yours, That is very nice.
