You know what... FUCK Lana! It is true that Smallville dragged the Clana relationship too far. Clark and Lana just struggled to keep their boat afloat, so to speak. Clark and Lois, on the other hand, instantly clicked. While in his hero guise, Clark (as did Lois) realized that he needs Lois just as much as she needs him. THEY are, and have always been, the perfect couple, not fucking Clana.

i am a huge Clana fan and while i might have rooted for Lois under any other circumstances, Clana is the couple i love the most b/c i grew up w/ this show and after 8 years, i cannot wrap my head around Clois. They should've just ended the show when lana left b/c this is supposed to be about young Clark Kent.

I'm not a big Clana fan (Clois all the way!), but this scene was very powerful, with a great Clois moment. And then the writers brought her back in season eight. I almost died when she interuppted the Clois moment. It kind of made me really not like her. I don't really think they should have brought her back at all, because at that point, they were getting closer to Clark becoming Superman. It was kind of stupid, in my opinion.

I can't say that I'm too much of a fan of Lana's. Not to say that she's a bad person, I just don't like her in relationships. She toys around with people's emotions far too much-I don't care who made her do what. I'm a huge Clois fan, and I think they dragged the whole Clark/Lana thing out way too long. Yay, Clois!

i love how great this scene is.

1. Because the actors really did great here with making it very powerful and you felt the emotions the character felt.

2. Because it opened up opportunities for other events to happen. I like what the writers ended up doing with this scene into the next season. I will say that they really kept prolonging the inevitable ending of the CLANA relationship but I think that maybe everyone needed some form of closure with it.

no offense to the actress cause KK is awesome but i was glad that Lana was going (even though she's back now) but it was just time to end that relationship. Lana was supposed to be his highschool girlfriend and IMO Smallville draged it on way too long. it's time to start getting to the heart of the Superman story and that is Lois and Clark.

I agree, they spent so much time making Clark and Lana's relationship that it was "perfect".

And it's clear that Lois relationship isn't appealing to as many people. Probably because most of us can relate to childhood love more than this army-chick tough girl.

Sigh. I miss Smallville. I use to watch it every week but now it's just something I watch when it crosses my mind....

It was great with Clark & Lana while it lasted. I guess all good things must come to an end. As Jor-El said to Clark at season 5, one journey has ended and another begins. Lana is the past and Lois is the future.
