  • i love what she's saying about the film because i hate the end too. for those who don't know, the beast (who is really stunning, looks like a lion and a tiger at the same time) turns back into a man and he looks very overdone and made up and silly.

  • WOW! When do you ever get to hear the roots of a song. Just beautiful! Thanks for posting.

  • Amazing...Stevie never got the credit she deserves. She is the best, better than madonna or anyother femal artist of our generation.

  • @ezahnle07 madonna dont evev comprae is that all u can come up with

  • @ezahnle07 Two different artists from different genres and different eras... Stevie isn't a pop performer and Madonna isn't a rock star. I'm not sure how Madonna prevents Stevie from getting the credit she deserves. This isn't Cyndi Lauper we're talking about.

  • Thank you for this Audio. This is really great! What a unique listen!

  • Hearing the birth of one of Stevie's masterpieces! Thank you for this glimpse of her genius!

  • where in the heck did you get this;incredible!!

  • Wow how rare is this! Thanks for sharing! One of my fav's and to hear her in such a raw moment... Ugh! Loved it!

  • When Stevie Nicks sings this song she reaches a channel and level of greater heights and it can be heard in her voice and soul sounding energy.

The even greater magic is that she is able to relate that to others in her words and song and ability to capture our souls!

There will never be anyone else as great of a poet, songwriter, singer -- to me!

  • @mazzimae: Thanks for the positive response, and God bless you, dear! Thanks also for the compliment on my daughter's name-she's a beautiful as her name♥

She and her boyfriend, who both worked the concert, thoroughly enjoyed it-although they didn't get to see too much of it, since they were working and all. However, SashaLiane grew up listening to me sing BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, which, (in my "humble" opinion), I do a pretty darned good job of; lol!

So how do you like AZ?

  • "If you don't have the look of that in someone else's eyes...forget it. It's not happening."

That hit home hard. To me, life really isn't happening without that.

  • A beautifuly saved rare look at Stevie as she is in her world.. As she puts together and creates the music that we so love... She's the most awesome storyteller, the way she writes her words and puts the meaning that is so truly uniquely Stevie... She is the greatest woman of rock n roll ever...

  • P.S. Now, 27 1/2 years later, my youngest daughter, SashaLiane, went to the Stevie Nicks/Rod Stewart concert last Saturday night; she's 25 and I'm 59-lol! Who else but a "tired old stoner"'s music could do that??? Let's hear it for us hippies!!!!! hehehe, far out, man

  • VistaBoner, you've probably never done anything more significant with your life than play with your bone-r, so why don't you just go do that and leave the REALLY talented alone? yeah

That being said, I hitchhiked 150 miles in the rain and snow, carrying a kitten in my Stvie Nicks type coat to take to a friend who was going to the WILD HEART concert in Casper, Wyoming with me-September 15, 1983...I cannot begin to describe the amazing magic that occurred that night!

  • @RoseLeeZion I saw your post to VistaBoner, Loved it, What a awesome but classy tongue lashing, it was great...I enjoyed your flashback to the 9/15/1983 concert, & hitchhiking in the rain with the kitten. OMG those were the days, seemed so much safer then these days. Also how did SashaLiane( Beautiful name) like the S Nicks/ R Stewart concert? I'm 58 & here flashin back to Stevie myself. Plus she & Rod were my Favorites way back, lol...Still are...from New Jersey back then, AZ.31 yrs.now.

  • @RoseLeeZion So 3 Thumbs up 2 U. My youngest is 32 now.

  • Thankyou for sharing such a wonderful piece of insight from Stevie :)

  • totally wastersssssssssssss

what would stevie do if told she could never talk about herself again. tired old stoner.

  • Captivatingly beautiful ~ as always.... Thanks for posting this masterpiece!

  • I AM A VIRGIN

  • So this is what it sounds like when a song, that makes you sob, is created. So glad I got to hear it.

  • This is one of my favorite songs...To hear this being created is amazing.. She never ceases to take my breath away.. I finally met her last march at B&N in NYC it was a moment I will NEVER forget..she was so magical and real . she everyones hand while she signed cds and dvds.. she is absolutely stunning in person.she is so tiny (lol) but when she speaks she has that amazing voice.Everything you imagine Stevie to be is exactly what she is. She is an amazing person...Thanx for sharing this song

  • @stvnix71 Thanks ever so much for sharing that..I had a strong feeling she would be really nice in person..thanks again..

  • This is very special, to me its like going back in time and watching michelangelo paint a picture... thanks for posting it...

  • I love hearing the creative process in action.

  • When the muse visits with a bitter gift of clarity and universal truth, the song just flows from an honest and tired heart.

  • @HermesAlchemist WOW awesome!!! And thanks sooooo much for this, I love this woman and the depth, I can so relate to this song and the other "deep" songs she sings. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • The chord progression sounds like moonlight sonata

  • In 2007 She bought the rights to the movie! her piano playing is sweet. I wonder who is this Tom that she keeps mentioning in her demos.

  • Pretty safe to assume Tom Petty.

  • i had no idea that she had bought the rights, i love that film!

  • @Chavatzellet she bought the rights to 'la belle et le bete" ?

  • Flamingcrystal, one day I will find you, and kiss you and hug you for these golden vids and audios you post..

So much love for you :):):)

    x

  • I believe the one playing the piano is Roy Brittan and if this was the first run through then he was still learning the song. The reason Stevie has never released this is because she said in an interview that all this was stolen in breakin that occured years ago.

  • Well, I'm sure this was "stolen" however when she was talking about that, she was talking about songs that have never been released in any form (not demos of released songs), like "Forest of the Black Roses," "China Doll," and "Maker of Birds" etc..

This actually sounds like it could be Stevie on piano in this song. She played a lot of the piano parts herself on her old demos.

  • Roy Bittan, no "r".

  • Stevie is playing.

  • Whats up with the piano Playing sounds like alot of miss keys? hmmm But Stevie Rocks....

  • Well Stevie is trying to play and sing at the same time and she's finding it a little hard.

  • Thats Cool I Guess she was still learning the way it should be go Stevie

  • Is that Mick in the background?

  • OK, never mind. As I listened more it became clear that no, it wasn't. :)

  • I saw that movie that she saw. the french one.

  • i had seen the film for school (french major) to find out later that it was one of stevie's favs!

  • Awesome!!!

  • @erinlynn "La Belle et la Bete" from 1946 by Jean Cocteau

  • THIS SOUNDS LIKE THE BELLA DONNA ERA

  • BTW i love this verson TY!!!!!!! for downloading it..

  • OMG soo true my ex and i always are playing the beauty and the beast its started out he was the beast with because i was on my P'S and Q's then wow i was tthe beast alo of the time. its too much this song i gave up looking for love and all that he still is ahving one nite stands left and right, buti was given soo much love and support that the BEauty is mostly who i am now. but remeber not everyone has that and they feel bad not worthy kind of like th beast but i will always love my beast

  • there are so many stevie demos floating around out there, how did these get out and why doesn't she release them?

  • I love this song:)

  • Beautiful and haunting - I feel like I'm eavesdropping on something amazing.

  • You sound like a nelly queen!

  • Well Blake - I know you very well and I may sound like one, but I know, as does everyone, you ARE a nelly queen.
