God Save the Queen is a distinctly British and more specifically, English song.

@rollamoken the holy roman empire works under the same fundamentals. Germany did not become "Germany" until 1871. As a part of the holy roman empire germany was nothing more than a territory, a geographical area of a larger nation. germany was not THE holy roman empire. it was a part of it. I think you have a false misconception of how important Germany was. I give Germany its dues, because I am part German, but it does not hold near the importance that countries like England, US, or Russia do.

Now of course it wasn't called Germany back then, i never doubted that. But the people living in the HRE were called Teutons- or translated- German.
