  • learn how to warm up a 2 stroke u nub

  • NICE BIKE!!! A two-stroke can sound ratty if the jetting is off as well, regardless of proper timing. That is why we now have EFI, because all you twats out there don't know how to jet a carb!

  • very nice

  • God dam rev tuners........doesn't any body know shit bout 2 strokes any more.........

84' 495 KTM MXC one of the badest ever built...bought one new still in the box.......

I've owned or ridden dam near everything ever built from mid 60's to current and It's still my favorite followed by the maico 490's

  • Who showed you how to warm up a 2 stroke?

  • Nice bike

  • Great way to stretch a rod.

  • Ah the good ol' days. Now we have evolved into the 4 stroke monopoly. Too bad.

  • @Frets0nFirePhenom To much oil is much better than to little oil. Id rather change a plug or ring at worse than replace a piston.

  • r those Hallman rims?

  • left side kick and exhaust! dose it have a suicide clutch too?

  • Don't hold a 2 stroke wfo without a load on it. You can score the cylinders from piston slap and can break rings.

  • 32-1 mix r u mad it should be 22-1 mix if its that old u wont it as oily as you can get it as if something brakes or somet good look getting parts m8 .

  • reving the motor when it isnt moving is bad if its air cooled

  • @jiginpole206 Not so good when it's watercooled either...

  • Fucking IDIOTS , 2 strokes of that era ran a magneto. These magnetos had no mechanical (centrifugal) advance, hence the term FIXED timing. You set your Timing and locked it down , just like a THE ONLY REAL RACE CARS ,TOP FUEL DRAGSTERS. READ A BOOK GOD DAMN IT !!!! once again young jimmy is correct GOD DAMN IT!! His comment was not offensive GOD DAMN IT !!!!

  • jimy192 is correct and sorry but magnetos timing can be changed . GOD DAMN KIDS! stop being so fucking senstive! ride a KTM 495 2 STROKE on NITRO $ DUX 230hp Harley. GOD DAMN IT ! MY MAICO was way faster & handled better tan those 74 elson-snores GOD DAMN IT !!! so just GOD DAMN IT!!! ahhh GOD DAMN IT !!!!

  • @cr125blake I'm Vintage and WORN OUT GOD DAMMIT !!!!

  • @cr125blake FINALLY SOMEONE CAN TELL IT IS A JOKE !! GOD DAMMIT !!!! cr125blake is correct, and by the way IT is a nice Bike. Just needs to be timed and a plug change. GOD DAMMIT !!!!! jimy192 was correct !!!!

  • That thing sounds like it will throw Evel Kneval's dick in the dirt.

  • A red jug & case? is that factory? I thought they were satin/flat black?

really nice bike, but whats with the 2:06 minutes of reving the piss out of it? I would never do that on a stand, put it on the ground and ride it, keep a load on it if your gonna scream it.

  • whats with the red jug & case? is that factory? I thought they were satin/flat black?

  • That's one bad ass bike

Man! I bet who ever says it's a POS is riding a little Gio 50 and is just jealous

  • what year is it im gona say a 80-83

  • @redneck350chevykkk i think a lil' older, maybe late 70's, (77-79) In the 80's, around 83' i think they went water cooled and mono shock.

  • Dam nice bike 2 stroke 4 life

  • Why on earth would you warm a bike up if you're not planning to ride it ??? WTF !!??

And that bike is aircooled by the way...idling is already bad but you just give it full throtle cold started... DUDE YOU SUCK. !!!

  • Comment removed

  • lol ride that shit then FAGGOT BITCH, by the way go try to ride that bike and kill urself by faceplanting that POS into a tree

  • no i want somthing faster maybe a kx500 hmm it wins over all

  • Between 78-80 model.. maybe early big bore?

  • Brings back memories from long ago. Thanks!

  • Nice Bike MAN!!!

  • u hava one retarted bike dude

  • out it nuetral

  • Why does it have a left side kick like all the european bad-ass machines.....bet this was a Factory race bike someone aquired!

  • My father owned two elsinores back in his day, he had a 125, and a 250. He told me so many stories of the shit he used to do on them, but one thing he told me is that the 125 would out perform his 250...by a long shot! He also used to tell me that the Elsinores were way ahead of there time for performance. Long live the Elsinore!

  • what year is that FOX Bike,i havnt seen Fox air shocks in 30 years

  • Great Motorcycle How you enjoy them in California Never vote for a Democrat

  • Great bike, still got my 79 RM125 and it still rips

  • Nice Elsinore

  • Awesome friggin' bike man. I can't believe the bike looks so good, nice job restoring it!

  • clutch plates always stick together when clutch isnt depressed!!!

    plus its out of gear!!!

the wheel turns due to movement of oil in gearbox.

  • nice bike awsome to see the old bikes up and running...i prefer the newer 2 strokes tho lol

  • do they even make parts for that pile anymore?

  • @OxfordRiders

pile? what do u mean pile?

power isnt far off modern ones, its in mint condition, looks way better than modern stuff and is certainly worth a lot more!

oh and yes they make parts or should I say u can get them.

  • I can't believe the comments this video gets, you're all a bunch of fucking idiots crying about him revving it like that. Has anyone been to a race and hear how they rev at the line? I guess they do that so their bike blows up mid moto right? Morons

  • cherry ride man

  • dude that bike is sooooo awesome

  • Dude, that thing has to be like 35 years old lol. revving that bike like that is like punching your grandmother in the face.

  • my 01 yz125 i run 32 to 1 like you are and it barely even smokes, but thats because its a yamaha, they are the best, lol

  • adjust ur timing retard

  • @BUG729 well i certainly dont doubt that.

  • wasnt refering 2 u inspector faggot!

  • kurka nic nie rozumiem ;D

  • @gruchagdz23 ja też. łłłaaaaa nie umiem czytać !!!

  • I would NEVER let you ride my bike.

  • dont u jsut love the smeel of gas and oil in the morning D:

  • so yeah how many top ends have you been through?

must not be afraid to blow it revving it like that

  • Might be a little rich ru useing a 40:1 mix? kindof sounds like its asking for more fuel

  • I think it might be warm...

  • sounds fucking amazing! =)

  • the best were those fox airshox, 400 psi, no spring, nitrogen chamber. awesome

  • Nice looking bike.kinda strange with the kickstarter on the left side.I owned an 84 model and 86 model once upon A TIME.

  • Man I love that sound...thanks so much for posting. The late 70s and early 80s to me represent the essence of real motocross bikes. I raced Can-Ams and a 250 Maico (with Fox Airshox) around 1979-81. There is nothing like being on the line with 30 or 40 of these incredible machines waiting for the gate to drop.

  • argh i love the 2 stroke giant killers!

@killerkork dude there should be premix deodorant

  • Sounds amazing for an oldy .

    Cheers

    any riding video's

  • Bad azz bike nuff said. I had a 79' CR 250 those were the days!

  • LOVELY !!!

  • From back when Fox was more concerned with Motocross than selling their shitty clothes to posers at pac-sun. It's a good thing they took the "Moto" out of their name, they don't have jack shit to do with actual mx any more. Awesome bike btw.

  • hahahahahahah wtf!!! how much compression do u have left man??? um.....none?

  • He's floating the valves on that one! : )

  • @wolfgangzrx are you serious or joking you know a 2 stroke doesnt have valves rite

  • : ) means it's a joke! LOL

  • Magnifique !

  • what mix u running?

  • 2 stroke with cooling rings lol, thats how u can tell its vintage

  • That bike is sick dude! Air shocks and the whole deal :P

  • Now that is a thing of beauty. I use to watch these bikes(250's) ride around on a track behind my home when I was 9 years old. I didn't get my first bike till 81 a XR 80 which disappointed the hell out of me, the RM's, CR;s, YZ's, and even the KX's were running circles around me. Finally after many begs and pleas my parents bought me a 1982 YZ 80 J, oh that thing was a beast! FIrst production water-cooled 80 . Wish I thought enough to keep all the bikes I ever owned, that would be cool.

  • ive got a 79 Elsinor 250R lightest bike ive ever ridden and jumped but wow the power band is just too un predicable compared to my crf-450r. Great condition your bike is.

  • thats how 2 strokes are supposed to run... beat the sh!t out of them until the motor seizes

  • super style

  • Seriously rich! Lean out your fuel mixture. Sweet Elsie!

  • Thats a reall beauty you gott there! Please preserve it :)!

  • f**ck!! certainly were revving the guts out of it, was the choke on though?? it sounded like it..

  • come over to my place to help me to get my 85 CR 250 to run like that,

mine wont idle and ndrips gas on the floor,

  • @kirkconway adjust your float

  • @kirkconway dude just clean the carb and set the floats in the carb

  • nice old bike, but still gotta admit i really dislike the sound of a 2 stroke. it just kinda ingrains on ya, four strokes have a nice purr to them.

  • Man, that was not cool, but somewhat interesting.

  • wont to sell it

  • that thing is BADASS! great restoration!

  • tree hugger

  • 2 strokes all day!!!!! i love the smell of premix in the morning

  • nothing sounds better than a good 'ol 2 stroke.

  • looters and polluters? you just mad cuz you have a p.o.s. 4 stroke

  • @schmanman

fag. i gonna go ride my banshee 600 just for that comment

  • really? your a dumbass

compared to factories that is nothing.

so get your underwear out of your vagina. you dipshit

  • tourrettesguy!

  • lol r u talkin about tourettes guy

  • Which year's model is this elsinore? 1980?

  • @vikto66 79

  • two strokes rule because there faster and sound really good

  • and they smell better cant beat 2stroke in the morning

  • @powervalve09 after im done riding my cr 125 (i run race gas) all i can smell is race gas for the rest of the day. its weird but great

  • @powervalve09 I love the smell of two-stroke in the morning! Hahaha. (Robert Duvall) And... this is a hilarious video. I love it.. I think the guy is even wearing 80's painter pants.

  • very nice bike definately isnt hurtin this two stroke to run it like that

  • u dont warm this bike like this u have to ride it at low rmp for some meters and then its is hot !

  • best way to warm a 2 stroke is to ride the thing this way you'll just cook it

  • yeh its a honda but jusst cuz of that doesnt mean its indestructable

  • its aircooled not watercooled.

  • Very Nice May I Have It? oh and there aint no reason to rev that bike like that congrats you just put 2 1/2 hours on the head way to go!!!!

  • who cares its not your bike

  • weres the radiator

  • there is one its air cooled.

  • no shit anything can blow up bit is a honda its not going to we have a cr250r 1984 no vids tho

  • Main thing is to make sure its warmed up before you punish it.

    Same as any motor.

  • You'd have to do a lot worse than that to blow the motor.

    Glorious music.

  • your gay you retard why the hell are you trying to blow it up? seriously your gonna blow up your damn engine! gosh you are really stupid thumbs down >:(

  • you aint trying that hard!!!sweet bike tho

  • thats not gunna blow that bike up u have to try harder thn that

  • there is nothing like the sound/smell/performance of any 2 stroke! they are simple to work on, cheap to keep running, lighter in weight and can kick the butt of any thumper. why did we ever change to 4 strokes?

  • Emissions, no smoke. I love a 2-stroke, but I can say 4 stroke is much cleaner.

  • ya but hes also running 32-1

  • I agree, I love the two strokes but you cant beat the torque of a four stroke.

  • 2 strokes haver more torque per cc. Check out trials bikes some time.

  • I think that trials bike along with the older two stroke trail bikes are just lower geared such as the kdx200 or it175. I dont know though. I could be rong.

  • 2strokes have more torque per stroke/

  • @worldskater31 They have low torque and high horse power.

  • why would you try to blow it up

  • i hope you brake it

  • brake it? hahaha

  • very nice bike

  • man i love the old 2 stroke my buddy has an old kx250r tht can outrun a street bike

  • Comment removed

  • those bikes were the best when they came out. if thats a fox works bike even today it wouldnt be slow. nice bike mate & its a credit to you. most wicked!!!!

  • these bikes can outrun a raptor 700 and a crf450r nowadays. they are the fastest 250 ever made and have been known to ride wheelies in 5th gear without any struggle whatsoever.

  • nice bike.

  • Who cares a $500 2002 CR250R would kill it. Whats the point would be the worst bike to ride

  • where can i pick up a few of those $500 2002 CRs " elliotmotoX "

    seriously dude ! im there....

  • wreckers

  • trust me a 2002 would not outrun this bike. it's the fastest 250 ever made. can easily outrun a raptor 700 and a crf450r. can ride a wheelie in 5th gear without any struggle.

  • WOW WEEEEEEEEEE ! lol dont get me wrong,id love to have one

(now days) but i dont know about all that,,,,,they

vibrate like hell ! ive had chunks of engine break off around the motor mounts, late 70s and early 80s youve gotta stay on top of em....

  • I highly doubt that... Air cooled and doesn't have a very big expansion chamber (bigger/fatter makes more power longer makes more torque). Likely only makes around 35-40hp. If they were so fast everyone would have one. Nice bike though for an oldie.

  • no, everyone couldn't have one, these bikes are very rare and hard to find parts for, that's why you only see very few. but no lie these bikes can outrun a raptor 700 and crf450r along with the wheelies in 5th gear.

  • fuck up

  • used to have on eof those was fuckin nuts

  • it cold oil in the tranny, the clutch plates stick just enough to turn the back wheel, after it is ridden and the tranny oil is warm the rear wheel won't spin, see how easily I stopped it with my foot!

  • @mxfox997 Does that old beast keep up wit the modern 2strokes?

  • @mxfox997 Fox rear airshox as well, i have a used boxed pair in the garage with the guage and manual. 17" free length.

  • @mxfox997 shit bike,my 09 yz250 will smoke this pos any day, keep up with the times buddy.

  • @herse88 umm yea thats a no brainer faggot.

  • Comment removed

  • its got nothing to do with your clutch plates if its in netrual

the clutch is gonna be fully engaged unless you have your hand on the clutch and i didnt see any body around holding in he clutch

its throw your gears and with that rear tire sitting with no weight on it its normal for a little bit of power to get throw the train

  • You can tell that most of these dorks have never been on the starting gate back in the '70's. At some tracks ,we had an area for a few "clean out" passes, but others you just had to tach it up until it started to run clean. I used to turn off the petcock until you could hear the motor leaning out, then turn it back on to feed it some fuel, until the 30 second board was put up. Then it was petcock on, and rev's up until the gate dropped so the old '79 YZ250 would not load up again.

  • ain't that the truth, nothing like sitting on the start line (rubber band) and the one goes sideways, you didn't blip the throttle you held it wfo and released the clutch gradually as you left the start, many holehots on that bike, these dorks would have a rude awaking, hell I put it on em on my 74

  • hey the older the faster my cr250 eats newer 450's and it well proven

  • only on 2 strokes lol

  • yea
