@fotisa1 orcs were meant to be weak in the films and books though, not as weak as goblins mind you, but the uruk-hai were the strongest, along with the easterlings and haradrim in terms of evil foot soldiers

@Yaxez clearly you do not build nazgul. Is there any particular strategy that usually beats you when you play mordor? Mordor is probably one of the hardest races to learn aside from maybe the goblins.

@radagastthe3rd I love the goblins, play them all the time. I can't stand mordor however, I just find that every unit they have is weak, well.. except for mouth of sauron.

Granted, it's been a long time since I played vs people. But it doesn't take long to kill a brutal mordor ai.

Nazguls were very good in bfme but in bfme2, they aren't.

What units ARE good?

@Yaxez mordor requires either micro or spam. One effective strategy is just getting a ton of orcs and swarming your opponent from all different directions so they can't defend. Nazgul are VERY good still in bfme2. Once they get to level 2 they just trample everything, especially when there are 3 of them. This makes the other play draw back and then the naz can be used for harass. Corsairs with firebombs are good and easterlings demolish structures. Sometimes corsairs go for fast upgrades.

@radagastthe3rd I'll give on the nazguls, altough only the ground ones. So that's all they have? Spam orcs ... lets say your opponent knows what the hell he's doing, and you fail your orc spam. What do you use against say upgraded elven units?

The archers would destroy most mordor units, trolls, mumakils, orcs, fellbeasts.

What if you only have one or two points of entry, and they are both guarded? How well does macro work then.

I'm sorry, i just don't see why it's worth the effort.

@Yaxez The goblins only have 3 good units: half trolls, spider riders, and spiderlings. They really don't have a good way of dealing with pikes. Mordor has a much more diverse army. I usually do poorly with gobs in the early game because they have to tech past goblin warriors so fast but once you get to scavenges then the goblins are really good.

the way i play as mordor is orc spam the shit out of the play and hope they dont get cavalry, and in the mean time get a lvl 3 troll cage and get 3 attack trolls then u know you have their fort guaranteed. I wish this was game still popular though... I miss it :(
