  • saw her clock, thought of math, she turned counter clock, cant get it to turn back :(

  • As a computational neuroscientist, I would just like to say left and right brain dichotomies are complete bullshit.

  • I make her go both ways o.0 what am i xD

  • If you look off to the left of the screen and watch the dancer from your peripheral, it will spin clockwise. If you look off to the right of the screen and watch the dancer from your peripheral, she spins counter-clockwise. You have to look directly at the dancer for the effect to take action.

  • last yr when i saw this video i can do it both ways

now i can only see it clockwise

  • I can control the turns completely, Im worthless in mathematics, 120iq in iqtest dk.

  • Brilliant. Always thought I was right-brained. I definitely do love abstracts, big pictures, images; I'm an artsy person who also loves photography, and prefers being with friends, and taking up hobbies and a career, instead of all the mathematical, numerical, science-y stuff.

  • she changes directions when i stop trying to define her!

  • FAKE

  • @CordesRM nope. if you think its fake and she changes direction then just go back to that spot and she wont. you cant comprehend the fact that there is more to your brain then just thinking.

  • Because it's a silouhette, you can see the left and right sides merge at times, thus changing your perception of the rotation.

  • I'm a lefty and use the right side of my brain, used to hate being left handed as a kid..but now I love it :) its a gift. I want to major in psychology, and am interested in photography and palmistry

  • you guys are stupid... it is not your brain who changes the rotation. That is what the animation does... first it spins one way and than it changes, it is not a perception thing, you have just been tricked

  • @Gajdosh no your stupid. i can make it go in either direction.

  • Mine kept changing. She started clockwise then counter then back again. But now that i'm writing this shes going counter. I am right handed i plan on going into film.

  • i made it slow down

  • idk what side of my brain that i use more because at first it was spinning one way and then it litterally just stopped and started going the other way before you even gave any tips on how to get it to change direction. im going to school for dental hygiene and my best friend is my boyfriend and we have soooo much in common when it comes to food and movies or hobbies. but we are quite different in personalities

  • no omg. look at the way her breasts move corresponding to the leg that is sticking out. she is spinning clockwise so long as her right leg is sticking out

  • was it me or did the figure slow down in the middle ??

  • 1 video shes spining counter clouckwise (soz 4 spelling) next vedio shes spinning clockwise WTF and i didn't do what she said i didn't do math or any of that so as i said before WTF

  • I think this is all a scam, because i keep going back and forth in different parts of the video and the direction she spins in is the same in that time segmant is the same. I.e., at :51 shes always spinning right. and at :34 , shes always spinning left. is it the same for anyone else?

  • at first it was clockwise but then the direction changed and it was maybe 60% of clockwise and 40% counter-clockwise. I do many sports from ice-hockey to freestyle skiing. in future i'd love to be police-officer or doctor and army is not out of the question. i like biology and history.

  • ....when her left leg is firmly planted on the ground, she spins clockwise....when her right leg is firmly planted on the ground, she spins counterclockwise -__-

The uploader makes the change happen so quickly, but it's noticeable. Does anyone else see this?

  • I can make it change back and forth. i usually write with my right hand, im good at math and english ( i speak french too) i play guitar a lot, im not organized, i dont study well and i plan to be a doctor or musician.

  • She went counter-clockwise for me until you showed something on the left side of the screen. Then suddenly she was going clockwise and I could never see it the other way again.

I have a bachelors degree in studio art (ceramics) and am getting a certificate in website development. However, I have always been good at math. I currently work for the family business doing the accounting, accounts payable/receivable, graphic design and website building,

  • nice tits

  • I am left handed.

I spend most of my time doing school work and with my friends. All of my friends expect one are right handed I see the dancer both ways. It switches back and forth every few seconds. I am studying science and Spanish.

  • I mostly see her spinning counter clockwise. I'm lefthanded, I study Psychology, and my hobbies are writing, singing, acting, reading and drawing. I love solving puzzles and mysteries, although I'm not very good at abstract figure tests. I also have a knack for languages and I can easily copy accents or pronunciations.

I can make her spin both ways, although I have to close my eyes to concentrate.

  • lol if you look off screen she looks like she is just kicking her legs out side to side

  • I got it to rotate the opposite way by focusing on the reflection of the dancer's foot. Has anyone else tried this?

  • i can change its direction when i want and as often as i want it's amazing 'cause nobody else in my class is able to do this except one of my best friends. love it

  • mine keeps changing over and over!

  • I dropped my laptop and then it turned clockwise

  • I mostly see her spinning right, but I can also maker her spin left...with a lot of effort

  • It went clockwise first. Then counterclockwise and back and forth at least one more time. I am a paralegal. I have a four year degree. I started out as a photo/journalist and switched to something that would move from place to place easier. I write right hand and do everying with the right hand with the exception of batting. That would be softball, I bat leftie. I love to read, garden, sew, photography and word puzzles. I am no mathlete! My friends are different from me and each other.

  • Once you've seen this enough, it never makes a full spin and just constantly changes direction... >:(

  • It says that I'm a pervert cuz I see dat bitches titties

  • OMG, I wrote the most crazy quiz I could imagine and the bitch wont dance the other way! DUMBASS GIRL!

  • its all about thinking if the foot is in front of her or behind her

  • When the doll starts to slow down the direction I see it going in changes until it starts to slow down againg, then I see it change to the other direction, overall 50/50.My interests are genetics, chemistry, math, poetry, filology, theosophy, theology & philosophy.I'm not completely ambidextrous, about R55/L45.I've two friends, I meet with them individually, there is one with whom I talk about poetry and filology. With the other I talk about chemistry, genetics, math theosophy, theology & philosophy.

  • i saw here going both ways

  • I mostly saw it go clockwise. I'm 14 years old, right handed and I want to do something with languages when I'm older. I love writing, searching the web, reading, listening to music and learning languages. I hate maths and anything technical.

  • actually some people use left more some use right more, people who use both accordingly are smarter and better in life i suppose! too much right braingd and u doin the hippy dance and too much left brain and u in a mental cell.

  • yayyy! it was all clockwise and then i started thinking math and french and it turned counter clockwise! woww!

  • i saw none :( ....

  • Holy shit on a burrito, I can make it go both ways.....

  • i use my right brain more it's chilling. i f i do some focusing on the girl i can make her spin counter so basically i m both. imo right brain livng is peacefull and enjoyable nobody wants to party with nerds right lol. enjoy life!!!!!!!!!!

  • i can't see here going both ways just clockwise!! dammit

  • OMG this is amazing! First i could only see it going clockwise, but now i can see it going counter clockwise too. Wow :) I like swimming, drawing, badminton....

  • I don't get it i see it go counter clock wise and when i look away and look again i see it go clockwise

  • both baby.....i can do it at will

  • I saw both! :O

  • Clockwise!

hobbies: armwrestling, bicycling, running, playing cod, warband, dota, ww2 guns and battles, freediving, mountaineering alpine style, experimental chemistry, reading about quantum physics, myrmecology - study of ants, bonsai enthusiast, salvia divinorum and other psychidelic plants and many others.!

  • She only spins clockwise - and you can't see it spin counter-clockwise.

  • @Spandex08 you can only see it clockwise. I can see both ways. If you're equally brained then you have no trouble seeing it both ways.

  • i saw it spin both ways, i am a left handed computer programmer, graphic artist and musician.

  • Both...at some points she switched so quick she was no longer spinning..it was more like her leg flipped back and forth..left hander, sales...love to learn and think

  • For me, it spun counter clockwise for a second or so and then spun clockwise for about a second too. It kept doing that over and over again no matter how many times I watched it.

  • for me it switched back and forth um i love to dance

    paint

draw play on the computer im a dancer i have As in every subject

im a victim of extreme doodling

    it was mostly clock wise

im not in college but my parents majored in english

im also in gem a program in the marana school system for kids who think differently then other kids and get high grades like i see in pics

i know it sounds crazy but when i dance i always picture things

anyway am i crazy help me

  • I got freaked out when she suddenly turned clockwise.

  • i see her spinning in 180 going half way and then the other what is wrong with me?

  • @cyanwaw u have seen the truth

  • @cyanwaw your not crazy ur probably gifted and whole brained tell me what helps u study for school the most and your favorite hobbies also do tags on shirts bother u do little threads bother u bright lights do they bother u?? gifted people also some times have high iqs please respond

  • i see it spinning clockwise.

    I am left handed.

    Exceptionally good in math.

Doesn't fair too well in the reading and writing department.

I used to draw (doodle) alot..

    Majoring in Computer Science.

    Hobbies - Gaming, drawing..

  • ok. when i started the video she was going anti clockwise, i looked away and looked back and she was going clockwise. wth

  • I can only see it spin clockwise and I've watched it at least 50 times...and yet I prefer math and science and my job requires me to be analytical and very detailed oriented....hhhhmmmm....the only characteristic I could identify with for left brained was intuitive

  • I watched a silent video of this and it only turned one way. When listening to the talking on this vid it kept changing. I even went back to see if it was set up. Guess it's when parts of the brain get stimulated..

  • I have watched better , this one I can get to spin clockwise, check out other vids and stare at the bottom corner....

  • Wow both ways for me. I play guitar and I like to draw. And I'm use both my right and left hand for writing and other difficult things.

  • I saw it go mostly clockwise.

I am left handed, My future occupation is to be an artist. I hate math, science and im NOT organized. I like drawing, writing, filming and my friends like doing the same

  • YES!!!!!!! I got that bitch to finally spin the other way. Now I have a headache

  • I was able to make her go in both directions. I had blood coming out of my ears afterwards, but no big whoop.

  • I am pointedly left-brained according to every other moment in my life, but this dancer is plainly spinning clockwise. Her right leg is raised throughout the entire video. Although her angle shifts, her direction never changes, ever. Period.

I don't understand this, unless the point is to see who is suggestible...?

  • it begina counter clockwise and it ended clockwise o-o IM SCARED!

  • OMG! WHENEVER THE GIRL STARTS A WORD, THE DANCER TURNS TO OPPOSITE DIRECTION! DOES THIS MEAN IM CRAZY!!!????WHEN I LOOK AT SOMETHING THEN SET MY EYES BACK TO THE DANCER , SHE CHANGES HER MOTION!

  • Comment removed

  • My past hobbies were every single sport a can physicaly play and right now since Im obcesed with the human mind and studying observing human behavior do to their lack of emotion control oh and black ops ha cause I set my goal to get the gold guns and I dont give up on my goals.

  • Insane I can see it both ways u just have to concentrate on the arms and u can litteraly see it spinn the opposite way like some one clicked a switch.

  • 1.First impression was of her spinning clock wise.

2.Hobbies and interest: Art, video games, typical internet stuff.

3.Not in college yet but I've thought about art colleges for graphic design work

4.My friends listen to similar music as I do.

  • 1.Right

    2.Producing music

    3.generals

    4.music

  • Well this is interesting. When I'm looking directly at her, she's spinning clockwise. When my focus is, for example, on the related videos next to this video, she spins counter-clockwise.

  • okay...the whole video i watched the dancer andi t was spinning in one direction...ONLY ONE...i did that just to see if the dancer was just turning arround by itself....Now if you see go to the left way for example..just try and imagine something for 10 seconds and the direction of the dancer will change....IS TRUE......P.S: Sry my english

  • Orrrrr, the fact that the girl speaking, saying "when you do sums, it makes her change direction" the girl spins the opposite direction and it makes you think you did it with your mind because after she says that you automatically do sums in your head. Duh. The pictures popping up and the girl talking puts things into your head, like "i'll do sums" it changes, not because your awesome and have powers but because the person that made the animation made it so it changes at certain times....

  • you guys dont know how to figure this out?? first if you see this going clockwise then you try to rationalize why some people see it going anti clockwise then your brain becomes analytical you see it go anti clock wise and vise versa. either way its just your perception that changes. but only for a limited time.

  • Right

  • she spins clockwise first and then changes direction and no i didnt have to do maths to figure that out!!! :P

  • Ahh I could only see her moving clockwise and then when I did some maths, like you said, she went anti-clockwise. That is scary! :P

  • honestly when i first saw this video i saw it clockwise, but when i watched it again i saw her spinning both ways?? what does that mean?

  • i see her spinnin in both ways...no wonder m so lost!!!

  • in the beginning, i see it clockwise. But when i look at her shadow on the floor, i see it counter-clockwise!

  • i did it i made go both ways

  • i cant think about this,

    Comet Elenin is coming,

We ahve to all take cover.

  • 1) right brain

    2) bible, movies, internet videos, psychology

    3) AA in psychology, BA in psychology and going to seminary to be a pastor and counciler. I am currently a corprate phamracy tech

    4) my friend are mostly christain and some are not and I connect with them over the job

  • @homerboy12345 no its not, I can now change it as i wish now.

  • She spins anti-clockwise first, then changes direction! I swear!

  • The answer is simple, look at the shadow below carefully

  • I always see it clockwise, I'm in pre-med, soon to be med school. At the same time, I'm a life-long pianist too... interesting...

  • it just looks like a woman spinning?

  • i dont know

  • At the begining I see her going clockwise, but if I look more I can shift and she turns anti-clockwise and back again. I'm left-handed, could that influence the results, too?...I studied history of art and ethnology and now work as a dancer, I make jewellery, give lessons on history of art...

  • I CANT MAKE HE SPIN COUNTER CLOCKWISE, ITS FUCKING PISSING ME OFF

  • @redr0oster21 look at her shadow

  • @redr0oster21 That's because 'pissing you off ' emotion AUTOMATICALLY cuts off your creativity to

think about how to make her spin the other direction.

The EASIST way to do this is to watch her Feet and Ankles only....she will change directions,

    THEN see it full picture...done.

  • @redr0oster21 I had the same but for some reason with males I do not trust it will start going clockwise ( I am male too). Maybe because with them I act somebody I am not really.. Guys are always left-brained.

  • im a right brain person

  • Comment removed

  • I see her moving in a clock-wise direction then I tried to make it go the other way and it worked. I am a computer Science student.

  • First clock-wise; Then it slowed down; Then Counter clock-wise. Repeated the video. This time First clock-wise; Then it slowed down; Then again clock-wise. My Hobbies: Inner- Realization. My Major: Computer Science.

  • I saw her going anti clockwise first..but then I tried to see her go clockwise and it worked :)

  • I see her flipping

  • I saw her going clockwise. No matter how much math I tried to do I could not get it to change. My hobbies are masterminds(college bowl), reading, and singing. I wish to go into the medical field.

  • What does it mean if you see her going neither both but just in the middle.

  • My teacher showed up this back in 7th grade and I told him I could see it both ways and he called me a weird-o in front of every one so every couple of days afterwards I would buy those little stink bags that when stepped on or slammed to the ground would swell up and pop and make that shitty rotten egg smell after I left that class and it made me happy to see that fat ass piece of shit of a teacher leave his class and then at the end of the semester get fired...

  • @TheCrampz For not grading the students work and finishing his daily reports and such he was a fucking low life bastard.

  • Sorry not Art I meant Creative

  • The first time I watched the video she was spinning counterclock wise up until you said the word Math then she started spinning clock wise. So after that I couldn't make her spin counter clockwise anymore after that. So I watched it again and she was spinning ccw until you said Art then she started spinning cw! My hobbies are playing guitar drawing playing magic and yugioh and my major is computer engineering

  • Well... i see it spinning clockwise...and i couldnt change that....

  • First I saw it spinning right, and could NOT force myself to see it any other way. But then when the box saying left brain right brain pop up, I stop to read and when I play the video again, she was turning left!! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE??!

  • The first time I saw this I ONLY saw it spinning left. Now I see it and it is spinning ONLY right. VERY weird!

  • 1. Initially it turned clockwise, then it started turning counter-clockwise when I sang a song in my head. Now it randomly switches.

    2. Listening to music, reading, playing games, talking to friends.

    3. Currently in high school, but I'm planning to major in Political Science and English. I want to be an author.

  • 1. Intially it was counter clockwise but after seeing the picture of art I saw clockwise.

    2. Hobbies, writing poetry, cooking, and reading fiction

    3. Majoring in Culinary Arts

  • 1. Clockwise initially but I realized that closing my eyes and resetting the imprinted memory (somewhat) resulted in counter-clockwise rotation at times.

    2. Hobbies: writing fiction, music

    3. Career: Major in Physics and currently studying electrical engineering

  • 1. Left-brain (counter-clockwise) ; I tried to make her spin the other way but failed..

    2. listening to music is my favorite hobby

    3. student majoring in linguistics

  • Originally Clockwise, and finally, after focusing on her shadow (math problems didn't help), I could see counter clockwise.

Hobbies: Arts and Music, Computer Stuff (I'm a nerd)

Career: Internet Marketing and Social Branding

  • At first, I was only using my right brain MINUTES straight. THEN, I did what the video said and thought a math question and couldn't go back to right brain... So, I'm like ok, it's timed intervals... NO... NOW, I see both and also watching her upper body it is a figure 8!

  • Right brained, but it slowed down half-way through the video. Not sure if that was the video itself or my brain doing it.

    Major: Library Information Services

    Minor: Web Development, Business management.

    Career: Computer Analysis, Consultation, Repair

I love to build computers and design webpages, reading and writing.

  • Clockwise initially. After about 2 minutes (and by not focusing directly on the picture) I was able to see her spin counter-clockwise. Now I can switch between the two.

    Hobbies: Movies, reading, Internet

    Career: IT manager

    Major: Physics and philosophy

  • Counter-Clockwise

But if I close my eyes and imagine it spinning the other way and open them i see it spinning the other direction.

My hobbies are reading, crocheting, listening to music and playing musical instruments.

Career: currently a secretary/office associate in a medical cytogenetics lab

  • It spins right.

I'm in to logic, math, programming, gadgets, and language.

I hate art, culture, and am very bad at creativity.

    Career -- Web Developer

Major -- Computer Science, Network Security && Business Administration

Hobbies - Film, VFX and Animation, programming, *exercise

    Career - Technical Analyst

    Major - Software Engineering

Similarities with friends - Film, animation and VFX

  • well in the start it was turning clockwise but at that time i was listening to music.

then you really began the philosophy and it began going counter clock-wise

  • 1. Right

    2. playing guitar, piano ...programming, math riddles

    3. physicist

    4. science

  • I see her spinning right. Mathematics and Engineering degree. Who said being an engineer is not creative?

  • I could only see her spinning right, I love technology, beach, fun, learning, love seeing art but not artsy. Biology & Psychology degree. When I interlock my fingers left thumb is over, right brain ;)

  • I saw her spinning right clockwise...so right brain...

Degree was individualized studies comprised of psychology/business/IT

My hobbies are reading /ballroom dance and singing...

    Hugs! xo

  • Doesn't the shadow indicate that she is spinning counterclockwise? The shadow of the extended foot is only visible during half the circle. This should be during the half-revolution when the foot is extended away from the camera. Since that shadow moves across the screen from right to left, the only reasonable explanation is that she is spinning counterclockwise... Crop out the shadow to make the video truly direction ambiguous.

  • Comment removed

  • Very interesting. Saw it spinning counterclockwise initially, then it changed when the abstract painting came up. Now I can't make it go back the other direction.

  • her shadow made me able to see her spin counter clockwise

  • I thought this was a scam, and I had planned to mention which direction the dancer is spinning at each time interval. Then I noticed that it was different every time I watched it. By thinking of the black figure as a dancer, we are conditioning ourselves to add information to the video. I'm not sure about right/left brain, but I am a computer science major, and I saw counter-clockwise before I saw clockwise. So that actually makes sense. I love optical illusions.

  • It's a scam, she changes direction when she changes which leg she is spinning on... In the beginning she is using her left leg and going clockwise as indicated by her leg/bust/torso positioning. about halfway through they change her direction to a right leg counterclockwise spin. very subtle and it gives the illusion that she switched direction because you switched your "mind" total poppycock. view it with the sound off and use your mouse to "jump" from one segment to another.

  • @thatguyinthetruck Keep it muted and watch it several times. Keep a list of direction and time. Tell me when it is clockwise and when it is counter. The first time I watched it, it switched 3 times, not once as you said. I still wouldn't say right/left brained, but I perceived the first interval as counter-clockwise the first time I saw it. (And just to be absolutely sure, I'm judging rotation direction from an above view, looking down.)

  • I can't even get it to turn counter clockwise. I'm a musician and quite right-brained, intuitive.

  • fu***. its dont working on my :/

the girl doesnt spin in any direction

  • This is stupid. There is no such thing as "left brained" or "right brained".

  • i can make her go both way! haha but all jokes aside i make her turn in both directions as well as slow her down

  • @SEK0206

The slowing down part was a part of the video itself.

  • im able to choose if i want the girl to go left i concentrate and she does if i want her to go right i concentrate again it usually takes .5 seconds for me to swich

  • Comment removed

  • went both ways....but i had to try to see it anti clockwise....i saw it clockwise intuitively (*spell check) im an aewrspace engg...n i love math....

  • HOLY SHIT when she said about maths in my head i said 2 + 2 = 5 and it worked she switched and turned counter clockwise! then i gave up with maths (cuz im super thick and my brain blew chunks) and she started spinning normal (clockwise!) freaky...

  • it went both ways for me :)

  • i can control both ways...cool

  • It was spinning counter clockwise first, than it suddenly turned clockwise, what the heck D:

  • i'm left brained my hobbies are swimming, singing, dancing, soccer and hocky i'm a student ! me and my friends love soccer and we do not have a disorder.

  • Clockwise. Couldn't get the dancer to move counter-clockwise.

    interests: photography/filmmaking

    career: filmmaking

  • she went clockwise for me

    sports, photography, videogames, science

    student 16

...balls she never went counter-clockwise :(

  • firts to the right than to the left

    sports, music and video games

    student I'm 13

i have very much friends and I love them

  • i saw her go both!!!

  • clockwise (right)

i am a drummer, i enjoy art and music. i also like to play video games.

i have no career, i am only 15.

i always seem to be out of sync with my friends, like somehow different to each of them. different oppinions to the rest, and always contradictiong their arguments.

  • Clockwise for me and she never changed.

  • When it went slow motion it freaked me out because I thought I was doing that!

  • How come I never see when she switches legs? I saw both. When I see her going clockwise, she is standing on left her. When I see her going counter-clockwise, she is standing on her right leg.

  • There are similar videos out there where the dancer is really changing direction what we notice when she stands on the right foot and leads movement with her left hand
