Are there extra costs that are required to access some of things shown in the video like quick gps/google maps? Also, would i need to pay for the unlimited data usage plan or could i pay for the cheaper email and web for smartphone plan in order to get these internet features?

you must buy the data plan with any htc or blackberry phone with verizon. there is no way around it. it is worth it though for unlimited use of everything for only 30 bucks a month

there are two different plans though...internet and email for 30 dollars and then unlimited data usage for 45 or something...from what i understand the internet and email plan would give me unlimited internet and nearly everything the other plan would provide but im not 100% sure...i tried reading up on it and found that the more expensive plan provides features that arent important to me such as features that allow you to synch the phone with computers and etc...im not 100% sure

I compared everything from messaging, browser, youtube, functionality, etc and the ozone was better; especially messaging(threaded and u dont have 2 start a new txt once u have used ur 160 spaces), browser and youtube. but maybe im just being premature and havent given the BB Tour enough time. So.... can anyone assist me with an objective comparison? Because, as of this moment, the Ozone in my assessment is the clear winner. But im tryin my best to see what al the fuss is about wit BB.

Advertisement. When have you ever seen a Ozone commercial? Some phones just don't get the recognition they deserve. I think the Samsung Omnia was a far better choice than the Blackberry Storm, yet some people have never even heard of the Omnia. And now I think the Ozone is way better than the tour, yet no one has heard of the Ozone.

As to price... HTC wanted to finally put a phone out there to compete in the market with. The Pro was overpriced and crap. The Ozone is a win for HTC.

Thanks 4 the response. I have the BB Tour and im a first time BB owner. I had the htc pro, but had 2 many issues with it. But ive been playin with the ozone 4 bout a couple of days now and I am impressed with it. im really considering exchanging my Tour for the ozone because i think the ozone is more feature rich and it seems that win 6.1 is performs better on a non-touch device. i just cant understand y its so much cheaper than the tour. but i objectively cant c where the tour is a better

Works great for me. Had the phone for a week now, great reception. Call quality is better than what I had with the Omnia.

yeah i do, my towns amazing with service for the most part, some buildings in the inners of them you might have no service and thats basically it. but im gonna be in PA for college and theres tons of dead zones out there

No. However, you could make calls via mobile skype and mobile IM instead of texting. There's no real reason to get the phone however if you do not intend on having voice service with it.

The phone does not even have to be connected to any voice service for the wifi to work. You simply need to be in a wifi hot spot.

There's an adapter to use headphones. There isn't a direct jack.

That really comes down to what you plan to use the phone for. I trade foreign currency. As a result, I require my phone's operating system to accommodate my mobile trading platform. Windows Mobile can handle it.

There's a huge difference between the two. Mainly because of the operating systems. If you like the Storm, however, can't stand the all touch screen, then you'll probably like the Tour. It's the perfect combo between the Curve and the Storm.

I personally am a fan of Windows Mobile. Blackberry does have some cool devices, however, I just can't pull myself away from Windows Mobile.

Curve is getting old now. Granted, they are the same price, if you're going to get a Blackberry, wait for the Tour to come out shortly. However, its going to be getting closer to 200 bucks though as compared to the 50 dollar price of the Touch.

If you're going to get a Q, don't get the 9m. Get the 9c, its' waaay more reliable than the 9m.

But between those two and this one, hands down HTC is the winner. Open GPS, Remote Desktop, MP3 Trimmer... there's so much more this phone can do that the Q can't.

I agree. My Omnia right now has a 5.0 MP camera which really takes sweet shots. Wish this guy could have had at least a 3.2 MP camera.

I like the Touch Pro/Fuze(and the second gen. of that phone) the best out of all the HTC phones, mostly because of the high resolution(for a pda phone) 640x480 touchscreen makes life easier when you use your phone to surf the web often like I do.

Skyfire is awesome, iphone's don't have Flash, but thanks to Opera Mobile and Skyfire we can access Youtube, Hulu, or pretty much any video sharing site without the lame Youtube syndication restrictions.
