Though the graphics are mortal kombat-esque if I'm right the controls and fight game style are similar to street fighter. So its street fighter with MK graphcs. The characters even move and act like a street fighter game

OMG THE HORROR!!!!! but you had to admit..the music was good on the psx version. But what is extremely sad is that this move is the last movie Raul Julia did before he died and it turned out to be a piece of shit! but all in all he was one hell of an actor!!! R.I.P Raul.

Actually, Pit Fighter was one of the first to use digitized fighters for a game. IIRC it was created by the same company that did Mortal Kombat, back in I believe was 1987-1988.

This game looks like fun ! I cant believe that some how i missed it?! It has some serious Mortal Kombat overtones ...especially the scene with the two fighters chained in the background as you fight in the foreground.

No it isn't you isn't, this is based on the movie STREET FIGHTER & STREET FIGHTER 2. Only had Cammy from SUPER SF2. Just has RYU, KEN, HONDA, ZANGIEF, GUILE, BALROG, VEGA, SAGAT, BISON & CHUN-LI. Sawada was never in the game.

I'm not surprised that you made that comment; the "Street Fighter: The Movie" arcade game looked very similar to the "Mortal Kombat" releases of the time. Sadly, the gameplay was extremely lousy in the eyes of "Street Fighter" fans everywhere -- or so I've heard.
