@goodguitarsolos well my question is how many octaves does he have in his rage? also you should make one of steve lee's voice its mindblowing.. check him ount he was gotthard's lead singer
@BONJOVI795 Almost 3 in full voice, over 3 total: the thing is that he demonstrates his vocal range so well that it is impressive. All the notes are really strong and solid.
@GoodGuitarSolos wow and jon has 5? THAT is impressive then again you should check out gotthard's steve lee... will not disappoint you amazing voice and amazing music
I will enlighten you on something... There are no "Falsetto's" in any of these. It is his true voice. You can tell by the raspy-ness of the notes. It is very obvious to me.
@GoodGuitarSolos The only falsetto in this compilation is the last 20 seconds (if that's Richie singing), I presume that's what you are referring to, as there is no other falsetto at all anywhere else. If you want to hear a true falsetto, check out Mick Jagger on the first couple of verses of Emotional Rescue.
@axltyler He is really light baritone: some of his earlier highs are pretty tenorish for sure but his timbre is definitely of baritone's and some of his recent performances showase why he definitely is a baritone of some kind. Really talented singer...
I have always felt Richie has a very clean clear voice (especially over Jons lead vocals.) They come across beautifully on his solo work. I too am hoping for another album on their haitus.
I'm glad you put this compilation together; I love Richie's solo music --even more than his work with Bon Jovi, in fact! His blues/rock style is soulful and has a lot of depth -- and really, how many rock bands' lead guitarists can sing as well? Probably not many --and Richie's near the top --perhaps even at the pinnacle--of that small list.
Yep, Richie is very talented not only as guitarist but also as a singer. It's just a pity that he hasn't done more solo albums. But I hope he plans to do it :-)
@lari35 I agree. Personally, I prefer Stranger in This Town to Undiscovered Soul (both are good albums), that one has raw soul and emotion. He is really talented musician so I'm hoping that he makes at least one more solo album...

Wow, great job! I'm not so musically educated, but no other voice makes me feel this way. Gives me chills every time I hear it.

@JonesRocket Sorry but those notes are falsetto. They are airy and completely different from his mixed voice notes.

@paintdrink I do know what falsetto means, check out the video info. And yes, Sambora is singing in the final clip.
Sambora is using airy but reinforced falsetto in those two powerful high Es.
