  • I have the same laptop and even though it made such a loud noise I figured now atleast I have a machine that gives a great HP.... Horse Power.

  • mine does the same exact sound, its so fucking annoying

  • When i watch this video, my dv6 and your one sing in two voices)))

  • @Delivert93 ikr my laptops a noisy bugger and burns even on a hard surface :-(

  • i have the same problem...

one day the fan just stop...

im burning my legs in this moment

  • @delivert93 thats the problem, you can´t put the van of your pc on your lap the pc will overheat and the van will broke

  • To all the people saying there is some sort of incidental problem involving dust or whatnot, you obviously do not own one of these maddening machines. This is a problem with a ton of these machines and it is a design flaw. The noise is so maddening that I have thrashed and shaken my laptop many times...ultimately, to no effect (it might provide temporary relief of the noise, but it inevitably starts back up). I will never buy another HP laptop for as long as I live!

  • this must be broken! I live in west africa there is dust everywhere but the fan isn't that noisy!!!!

  • my dv6 is noisy to. I disassembled down in parts, but no dust.

And a tip you vacuum the vents, use something to stop the fan from spinning. The speed it gets can do harm to the bearings!

  • faced same problem in my DV6, i used my vacuum on the vents and it worked :D

  • I got this and i used to whack it but lmfao it broke, later on fan faulty and the laptop won't start sent it to hp lost the paper for the part's they ordered -.-

  • i have the same problem i have a noisy fan. havent done any fixing to it. how much is it to get it fixed?

  • This happened with me Man, i sent it back to Hp they changed something in it, even they replaced my BIOS don't knw why. do send it to HP..

  • i cant hear it, my hp pavillion dv6 fan is TOO LOUD!!!

  • @1gbayfisher Well your heat-sink and fan is clogged up. just go to your laptop manual and find out how to open your laptops seat sink location. (it will be located near the fan slots if you flip it upside-down).

if you have a extended/remaining warranty (1 year included got all major manufacturers), then call them and say mu laptop is too loud and i need it cleaned up.

  • I had same prob. just follow few steps.. clean ur fan, then go to start -> Run-> system configuration->click on Startup-> uncheck the prog. u dont want, hit apply.. and restart.. keep prog. lowest in system config... it worked for me.. gd luck

  • Had the same problem, had the fan replaced and now its all good!

  • mine is worse

  • i have the EXACT same problem and the same laptop, lol i just whack it up near the power button and it stops :)

  • @ConVic73d i got the same labtop and problem too and i whack it to stop got any ideas to help me fix it?

  • @MHGamers because my fans broken ill probs take it apart and fix it cause im not taking it in the get fixed at some store. u r supposed to use compressed air to fix the fan noice but thats only if it has dust in it.

  • @ConVic73d can u take it apart and record it? lmfao cause im not sure how to take it apart. and cant i just blow on it?

  • @MHGamers no i tried that, air isnt compressed enough and you will get spit in there which is bad :)

  • @ConVic73d oh ok thanks

  • @MHGamers well, i took it apart and cleaned the fan, it sounds alot better but it still makes a noice, there is no clicking or anything, i thought the fan was broken but its not, its probs just hitting a label or something. ill take it apart again and clean it out better ( its not that hard to take apart, you can get to the fan by taking the top panel of) the one with the sound bar and the mute button.

  • @ConVic73d nicee but i still cant open the labtop to get to the fan :[ i need a vid of it dam

  • @MHGamers you can also use a hairdryer and blast that through the vent at the bottom to the left of your power button :p worked for me!

  • @ConVic73d ill try that xD

  • @MHGamers not for too long though, and if ur dryer has a cold setting set it to that

  • @ConVic73d haha my dryers hot af and it didnt work

  • and same is mine!

  • I could only just hear the noise of your HP over the noise of mine HAHAHA....seems its a very common fault yes!!!!

  • what about opening it, and cleaning the fan up, after that put some oil on the rotating parts of the fan. just oil for ur bike or something dont waste money buying expensive oil....

  • same problem here with my acer..after a year..accumulated dust maybe? or the fan's broke because of abuse or something :))

  • i cant open the fan area to clean mine

  • mine has just started making that noise, I couldn't hear yours over the sound of mine...

  • i have the exact same problem with mine. if you find a fix let me know

  • actually the nose from my hp computer almost blocks the noise in the video...

  • actually the nose on from my hp computer almost blocks the noise in the video...

  • its just dust. I whack it to make it stop :D

  • @MikeTheMaster01 It's not dust, its a broken fan

  • @MikeTheMaster01 lol same here but now computer is in varrinty

  • clean bitch!! can't you hear?

  • SAME PROBLEM I HAVE

  • The propellor is loose...nothing more. Probrably there was much dust and maybe a bounce on the laptop just jiggled the fan loose.

  • my dv7 just started making that noise like right now!!! how do i fix itt??

  • @sergi044

Call hp, and send it to repair

  • @sergi044 My dv7 started that noice last week, its so anniying, i cant concentrate on my studies on it now, not cool, i would pay to have it stopped

  • @bodybuildingbooks I think its because theres dust in your fan.. but it may also be that your fan is slightly off. ugh mine is still making the noise

  • @sergi044 its so annoying, as am writing this comment, the noise is enough to for me to turn it off and never turning it back on, its horrendous, brrrroooouuubrrrrrrrouuuuuuu

  • @sergi044 yeahh bro i get you,, mine sounds like a jet engine!

  • thats what mine does

  • I had to remove dust but without success. I put gig-a-loo in the compartment where the propeller turns and it does not make any more noise.

  • Oh mah gawd! It's the same with me but worser! It's sounds like someone's banging on the table! It started for me for no reason one day I just turned it on then it started doing that. But I think the problem is if you move it a lot or shake it a lot some stuff gets messed up.

  • For gaming

  • I just use mine door gaming I do it a lot but mines worse and I never drop it ,, how do you fix it ? :(

  • @MrProplayerz I have a dv7 2030 and I also used it for gaming and it makes alot of noice + the screen turns black after an hour or so I have no idea what to do.

  • Well its obviously because you dropped it, people who has these problewms are prolly the ones who carry their laptop all over the place lol..

Just use canned air, something must just be on the fans or something....

  • my dv6 2005 ax got shut down cuz of overheating and that too on 27 dec,lol in winter i got overheating problem.

  • THE van with compressed air Can help

  • I didnt drop mine, and it is making almost the same noise.. I just picked it up the noise started. Has anyone figured out how to fix this?

  • @brendonuc you have to replace the computer cooling fan

  • @brendonuc I have the same problem :/ Don't know how to fix this noise, I read some comments they said that it could be the dust around your fan which i hardly believe.

  • i have the same exact one lol shitty gfx card though

  • @EddieLolz3r how

  • @EddieLolz3r its a good computer! only the fan runs like crazy when u resume. it doesnt run like tht when u restart....

  • I got the same model. And i thought mine sounds noisy....:O....well, not like THAT! xD

  • I hope mine won't sound like that!

  • when i bought mine, it was fine but after like 3 months it started this noise, it used to work fine but just make noise. after some days it automatically stopped the noise and since that it hasnt done that problem again

  • There is an offer here (japan) Pavilion dv6a 2.0 Giga memory, 250 HDD, 2.2 GHz, 15.6" monitor etc. price 40,000 yen. Could anyone pl suggest whether its a good offer or just ordinary? Thanks.

  • @abed83a 40,000 yen how much is that in dollers??

  • @wuntyme As yen is very strong now, it will be about $480. The offer is gone and as I did not need one pc immediately, I did not buy it either. but would be nice to know if this price is just a little cheaper or especially low priced.

    Thanks.

  • @abed83a if u talkn about a dv6 model you see on this video for 480 its not worth it. i bought it for 500 few months ago mine dv6 1124. for that price now u could get a newer model dv7 or dv7 i think. look way cooler,

i really want hp envy beat audio version! so nice

  • @wuntyme Thanks! May be they were trying to clear their old stock. I got a VAIO vgn-273FB for work at office and using a lenevo at home. So, I was not in a hurry. Its good that I did not jump for it.

  • @abed83a yea its always good to wait n reserach about it b4 you actually buy something..

  • HP DV6s suck so bad, i got one and ever since i got it it has had such a noisy fan, like a grinding noise. the lisghtest nudge will cause it to start groaning, it stops if you give it a firm hit but then start again. Dont buy any laptop in the DV6 series, they fucking suck so bad.

  • awesome

  • @sprucepantherkmt i got this same computer and its make noise just when you turn ir on!!

  • Dude I got a problem like that on my ASUS F3JC, pissing me off -.-
