That's a nice souding bike , triples are suprisingly smooth. but it's way too big for my taste , hell my car has a smaller engine and probably get's better economey too lol. they are stunning though, I remember the first time I saw one , it was a glimpse and I wondered if my eyes played tricks on me. My ride is a 91 R/100/GS Bumble Beemer, I'm 59 and I don't have any chicken strips on my tires , welll, just a little on the very edge I've never been able to get off in 93 thousand miles.

I actually think it is a plastic sound, like one and a half CX500s might sound. Love the old brit bike sound - I am 49 and remember the old Triumphs, Nortons and the like, and cant get off on this even though I want to; I actually prefer the sound of a Harley. But I am into cars now cos bikes scare the crap out o me, I nearly died so many times.

not really. sound travels backwards out of exhaust. a car with loud music in front of u will still cut u off cause they never heard u. the only time ur heard all over is when ur on full throttle

Don't worry bout these harley riders and their potato potato loud exhaust. They like to sound fast, we actually back up our sound with actual horsepower. I love running into harleys on the street, you pull up and they are reving their motors at the lights until they see the rocket come up beside them. Suddenly they are quiet as a mouse.

Honda just discontinued the vtx 1800. They will have an answer next year for this bike that will put the motorcycle world on its ear!!!!

I wish they would come out with a new Valk, I have a 99 and a Rocket 3, if Honda had built a motor that would be in the range of the rockets on a large bike like the Valk I would have picked one up. The Rocket 3 is like riding a Supercharged Valkryie. With tuning and cat delete and exhaust mine dynoed at 147 hp and 152 ftlbs of torque, thats at the rear tire. Honda needs to wake up, the VTX is out gunned by everyone. The 109R, the Rocket, VMax, and the VROD.
