No way if it was the GTX1 the Murcielago would've been in parts across the turnpike considering it has 200 more bhp, handles better, and is lower to the ground.
This is a Ford GT, the clip is from Super Speeders 3. The Ford GTX1 was a limited built car that makes the regular(if you can call the ford gt regular)Ford GT a roadster.
it is NOT a convertible... (the GTX1) it s not because it is not automatic and thers no housing in the... right behind the head... forgot what called haha but im pretty shure its not a convertible... i think you have to manually put on the top... not shure... TAKE ME OUT AND SHOOT ME!! (if im wrong)
it is a ford gt w/ ford racing exhaust. the gtx1 package is different. the gtx1 and this gt are using the same exhaust tho. Oh the gtx1 has a hardtop you put on manually
@nico74321 lol Clarkson sometimes gives good reviews but he also bashes on everything American so he can go fuck himself. He's also a hypocrite because he bought himself a Ford GT.
@PandehPropaganda Clarkson bought a ford gt because the motor and badges are the only american things about the car, otherwise its italian and british. And by the way he loves the American ZR-1
@jusclai hows this car brit and italian? who designed it in the 40's to beat ferrari in the le mans? is the engine bmw? no its a fucking SVT! now if you say that just because you saw the asshole of jeremy clarkson talking about the wheels trans! haha sorry bud, but at the end of the day any car maker use parts from 3rd parties, besides its always european cars ( continent) vs american cars(country) and even that way GM, and Ford ends up beating Germans, italians
@MarioMenoscal69 The GT40 was designed in the 60's, not the '40's. It was built at the command of Henry Ford, as revenge for backing out of a deal to sell Ferrari, nearly bankrupt at the time, to Ford. Beating them at Le'mans Ford reasoned would push Ferrari past the financial brink. The Italian government subsidized Ferrari to prevent Ford from taking it over. As for the parts issue, I suggest you look at most cars. They are all using parts made by other makers. An in house car is rare today.
@jusclai and by the way there are no brit cars anymore check range rover who owns it same thing with aston Martin! Ford owns them, and the top seller car is opel in england and thats a Chevrolet with different badge XD so sad, and london is not even british anymore with McDonalds and Starbucks all over they are the most americanized country in the world.. and if the american anthem was written by a brit it was because USA was a brit colony full of imigrants that believed in freedom
@jusclai Which also uses Italian brakes, German wheels, German steering rack and a few other parts. As just so you know, The Ford GT, like the GT 40 racer, are and were made in ford owned plants, the 40 at the command of Henry Ford. To, as Ford put it, Destroy the high tied, toe ragged, pony assed heaps of junk." referring to Ferrari. And Ford's GT40 did so 4 years straight. So how are cars built by employees of Ford a British car? Look in your driveway, many cars use parts from other makers..
@GunBroker100 Key word, "parts" not entire braking and suspension systems, the body itself was designed by a british man and simply rendered in america so still, so what americans put it together, so what it "looks" like the GT-40, its a whole different car and chassis, the chassis of the ford gt was build on an italian Le Mans platform more modern than the late GT-40, i know the car dude
@jusclai designed by a brit in the employ of Henry Ford, The Aston rack they mention, Ford owed Aston at the time. You may know the car, but I own one. With all the X1 upgrades. If you would bother to check your sources, Ford owns a great many car companies or a share of them all round the world. "More modern", Is it your contention that cars do not evolve, so to speak? really, look at all cars and they development. Have they all remained the same since 1960? Ford then, Ford now get over it.
@GunBroker100 You've made the fatal mistake of trying to argue with a fucking youtube "car enthusiast" who wouldn't know a nice car if they got run over by one. They are so worried about the air vents being of X nationality or spouting out 1/4 mile numbers they can't even enjoy a car. Its comforting to know that someone out there still has a damn brain.
@HaleFire7 Yes, I know. But, it irritates me when they make blanket statements of it's British, Italian, this, that. Few cars today are completely in house. Al have parts and components by other makers. Case in point the Veyron everyone is babbling about. It's a Bugatti running a Mercedes Engine. Same Audi R8 V-10, Lambo engine. The list goes on and on. But, I think your right, they wouldn't know a good car if it ran over them. I'll keep driving my Gt and they can keep dreaming.
@GunBroker100 yea your just one more guy claiming to own a hot sports car i don't care, Im just a test cell technitian who test's these engines and read schematics, not spoil myself with a paycheck, you can buy all the fords you want but when it comes to the un biased facts the car just isn't american so reality check dude, you get over it, i apologize for the above statement you may indeed have a badass car but that doesn't change the fact that the engine is the only american thing about it
@jusclai Actually, I own several. My wife drives a Lotus Elise. If it's built by an American Company that happens to own most of the parts makers used on it. It's a Ford, it's just that simple. "Spoil myself with a paycheck"? You work for free, do you? You test whatever engine your employer manufactures, no one place tests all engines. What's the point of making money if not to enjoy life? Try not to be so negative all the time, it's not good for you.
@jusclai Nice choice. Keep working for it and you will get it. Hard work and applying oneself usually garners great benefits. Something the "I'm owed something crowd" will never understand. I worked hard to get my businesses up and running. Now I enjoy the rewards of my efforts, and make no apologies for it. I raised all my kids, put them through college and they are quite successful in their fields now. So why not indulge a whim or two? Life is what you make it, make it the best you can.
@nico74321 True enough, the X-1 is a removal top, aka roadster. However, All the upgrades used on the X1 can also be applied to the hard top. Essentially the same car, so all the trick stuff used on the X-1 will word on the standard GT. When added to the standard GT, you have an X-1 hardtop coupe.
tell me, if you put a 454 in a SS396 chevelle is it still a SS396, no its a 454 car. just because this car wasnt built by the factory doesnt mean its slow. you can squeeze just as much horsepower if not more than the factory by using aftermarket parts. this car wasnt built as a GTX1 but it has been built to the standards of a GTX1, and it just maybe better, all it takes is some work and dedication. the point is looks can be decieving. cars that look slow arent always slow.
apollo you're wrong get over it, the GTX1 is a roadster with a different body, different suspension, different rims and different supercharger if I'm not mistaken. This is a modded ford GT
no, they fit a smaller pulley, racing exhaust, and tuned the ecu to get an additional 150 horsepower on the ford gtx1. if i was rich, id have a gtx1, and a twin turbo ford gt (compound boost) making over 1000 ponies.
That's not a GTX.

one word (aftermarket). you can do alot with the right parts and the right knowhow. just because a car looks stock doesnt mean it is.
its not particularly hard to make stock motors run better. most times all it takes is some fine tuning.
