he didnt really pitch bend.. at least not with automation.. up at the top of the piano roll window there is two little icons and they look like triangles.. it bends the pitch of the last not to the pitch of where you put the new slice..

@personthewat VST is the... word for the "instrument". Think of a VST as a virtual piano plug-in to FL that makes different lead synth sounds, for example he used the Nexus VST(Have to purchase it seperately) here to make the rave lead synth...probably mixed it with the Sytrus VST(Default in FL).
