people always look to mmos like they look to their precious call of duty or other games that is just "gogo pew pew pew" and forget the RP part where in fact, you're a character in a fantasy world.
Yeah i have played wow only for about another year. Initially i always thought it looked stupid and boring and the quests seemed to last substance,(which i still think is true), but i found a way to enjoy it for a bout a year. Now i cant even stand to look at the icon, once you get the best armor your choices are to either wait a weak or try to get some stupid mount that takes 2 weeks that everyone already has anyway.
Respond to this video... Wow is all about limits that keep you playing such as point caps and two week periods to get one mount. that means that you payed for another half month and just sat at some random location with your addon running just to get a mount. To blizzard thats another two weeks of content you missed and are going to have to play which will take another two weeks. Blizzard makes it way to obvious how greedy they are and wow is so ugly. i question why they made it a game

People actually complain about swtor graphics while wow looks like disneyland. and early level characters and armor? why were they never updated? Im just saying, i can already tell from these videos that swtor is going to have amazing storylines as well as amazing pvp and raids. they can all coexist together.
wow is a good game in many ways and it feeds of a core type of gameplay that has sort of been the norm for mmos for over a decade now. the story and setting its placed in also attracts a lot of players who feed of of that sort of mystic middle age, ancient world feel. however swtor is breaking away from that pattern in every way they feel possible, and anything starwars related will automatically have a massive following, SWKOTOR fans only solidify that more.
And btw..It's a crappy truth about human nature but: WoW will likely win over SWTOR basically because people have been playing WoW for so long. WoW doesn't even need to be better than SWTOR anymore: it just needs to keep presenting possibly gratifying content to its players to keep them experimenting.
It's like US's Two-party system: A huge chunk of the reason as to why its still in place is because it's been in place since US America started.

I completely understand what you mean, it's gonna be hard to get some of my hardcore WoW friends to come play with me-- even though they say all the time that WoW sucks now... yet they keep paying and playing :P
WoW is a good game, Rift is a good game, and SW:tOR is a good game. no need for any1 2 argue over them ^^

"WoW will likely win over SWTOR" not a chance! after the release of cata players are DYING to play something else. THERES ALLOT of talk on other servers and my server (RuneTotem, Terrokar, Arthas,) all those servers are talking in trade chat about how they are going to switch over.
It's sad but WoW isn't all that great for casuals...trust me. I've been playing casual for 5 years and I've gotten pissed off so many times I quit for 8 months before going back for Cata...it's butter but I'm still pissed at the negligence.

ok .. if anyone has any doubts about if it's going to lack on PvP .. aldeeran was the first of many "SHUT UP IGNORANT DIPSHITS" Bioware sent! .. just stay updated with the original forum website and fansites .. you would know that months ago, they already said millions of time , it's going to have Battlegrounds , Amazing Crafting System , Instances, Raids , Guilds , ECONOMIC SYSTEM, Action House, open-world pvp planets .. it probably will have more pvp than the all mighty World of Shitcraft

This game has everything it requires to become a large threat to World of Warcraft, not saying it will "Steal all its players." I hope the pvp gameplay will have a system that lets you show some skill not just auto light saber and select hard swing as a move...i just hope the pvp is gonna be as good as wow.....i just have a feeling that the higher force user is always gonna win against the other one..just hope all the classess have enough cc abilities bc its possible bioware was limited in there design to keep the realism with the series wich in other words could limit there creativity.. i just hope the pvp doesnt suffer
