I think the reason I like NIN and their live performances so much is because they represent a primal area that we've all been in that doesn't get enough attention, and I can imagine myself up on the stage doing what they're doing. I don't know how he did it but he found a way to touch nerves.
@bullsfan93 They did! Nine Inch Nails was all the rage in 1994 (post-Cobain) and 1995. When Trent Reznor brought Marilyn Manson into the scene after the "Smells Like Children" EP, then the spotlight went to Marilyn Manson for all of 1996.
@babaionic Trent Reznor hates this gig and calls it one of their worst performances. Don't expect it to be released in this lifetime even though NIN fans find this to be one of their best gigs of all time.
@thedude9099 well...not the resent ones, for me. I HATE modern pop and rap, so screw that. In theory, I would probably disappear, because even going back in time to woodstock '94, I wasn't even born yet! Plus, also in theory, a time machine wouldn't be able to go back farther than when it was made. So, sorry to burst your bubble. But I do still hope something like a time machine gets created cuz that would be awesome!
@PoliMeim i hate that kind of music too, but look how many rock artists lollapalooza made popular: the cure, NIN, the smashing pumpkins, muse, green day, RATM, etc. look how many artists of other genres it made popular: lady gaga, that s it. i don t kno about reading, though
@TheHelixSpirit no man, but if you here it, you were there...it doesn't matter, as long as you can feel the nails clawing at your ears, you were so there.
why the hell is there a piece of the middle of the song before the song starts/ why not just start the song? there is no logical reason for it.. t hough i have to deal with it cause this concert is fucking amazing and i LOVe that someone cleaned it up visually and aurally!! THANK YOU!!
@metalirocz28 actually woodstock (the town) kicked them out, so they went to elliot's hotel, and he hooked them up with max yasgar.. that movie "taking woodstock" tells the story pretty well..(white lake NY is where it was) :)
One of the greatest songs on this album
