Why did certain parts of the Eastern Orthodox Church reunite with Rome? Here are 3 reasons. #1 the Polish and Austrian Empire's would kill or exile them if they did not, and confiscate their churches. #2 the tithe they were paying the Patriarch of Constantinople had grown too high due to him being under Turkish control by the 17th c. #3 the appeal of the education, money and power within the Polish/Austrian/Latin world was strong, especially among nobles/boyars.
