why is that sometimes she has a thick texan accent, and other interviews, including all the footage on american idol, she has no accent to speak of? I love her a TON, but that kind of bugs me.

Haha well she live lives in Texas. Hence the thick accent..

But before American Idol she was in LA. which is why you didn't see any of that back then..

And now I guess she just keeps moving back and forth and it becomes stronger whenever she's there or has just come from there..

I can assure you she's not low enough to put it on. She's real...

she said the longer she's in Texas the thicker her accent gets and when she's away for a while it's not as thick...Before she was on american Idol she lived in LA for a bit which is probably why her accent was not as thick.
