  • Some guy told me about this song...Now were best friends

  • I dont know which is better the song or the fact that the two top comments are ACTUALLY good and orignial.

  • Most underrated Weezer song ever, why the fuck wasn't this a single?

  • Man, Weezer's been around forever. Makes me feel old.

  • best weezer song ever

  • Have loved this song since I heard it 16 years ago.

  • I did an acoustic version of this song at my school's talent show :)

  • I still miss my ex after 7 years and I need closure we haven't talked since then...I hope to talk to her one day I haven't cried in two years but I really need to...

and this is the best Weezer song EVER.

  • im so sick and tired of trolls stating how old they are and how music has changed, you see it EVERYWHERE!

  • @MarlboroShinobi you just dont know how to use spices and stuff

  • @MrCoolsays NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • this song brings back memories of the first time i heard this album its an enchanting album

  • @goldfighter2323 So what you're saying is that hearing this song reminds you of hearing this song? Brilliant. Just brilliant.

  • Took me awhile to warm up to it, but this is seriously like one of my favorite songs now

  • this is my favourite song of weezer they should of released it as a single love singing this at the top of my lungs thx rivers for this beautiful song

  • @mrtnchase i forgot to mention this song doesnt get enough credit as well

  • I think this maybe might favorite song of all time

  • How the fuck do the shitty songs they release now get 100000000000 views and this doesnt? Just listen to the fucking intro guitar. FUCKING BEAUTIFUL SOUNDING.This is music, they dont make em like this anymore --____---

  • @21moons21 Don't hate on new Weezer, just be glad they didn't die out like other 90's grunge bands...

  • @ultimatemtb You know as well as i do that this song deserves much more recognition than it currently does......

  • weezer = hell yes

  • Mickey had it figured, RIP

  • yeah... I would have dropped out of harvard too

  • could this song be applied to the zombie apocalypse? "the world has turned" am i being stupid or is that a good idea?

  • @Plexuz0 Turned away from him, it's loneliness

  • I love how Rivers described this song.

"This is probably the guy from No One Else singing after he got dumped."

This song should have been the fourth single, I'm surprised it's never been used on a show or in a movie.

"DO YOU BELIEVE WHAT I SING NOW?!"

    Yes Rivers, yes I do.

  • kitchen tapes version is alot better

  • the beginning of this song reminds me of the KFC commercial

  • 1994: Hip-Hop: Nas- Illmatic Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die Method Man- Tical Common- Resurrection, "I Used to Love H.E.R." Scarface- the Diary More rock: Pearl Jam - Vitalogy Stone Temple Pilots- Purple Beck- Mellow Gold Jeff Buckley- Grace
  • rivers didn't ruin weezer, the initial criticism of pinkerton did. after an album flopped like that, you'd change your style too

  • "I talked for hours to your wallet photograph, and you just listened"

One of the best lyrics in a Weezer song.

  • Hasn't anyone ever noticed this:

People who grew up listening to music in the 80's aren't always fond of music 90's-today. People who listened to the 90's aren't always fond of music 00-today. I'm 14 and I'm sure that when I have children I won't be fond of THAT music. You know why? It's not because music has gone "downhill" (The POPULAR music has. Not music in GENERAL) It's because it's not what we grew up with. It's not what we're used to. Personally, music from the 90's is my favorite.

  • @starburst7904 I agree with you 100% and I would like to add that Rise Against, SOAD, Beirut, and a plethora of other great artists/groups have released great music that has gone somewhat "mainstream". However, the vast majority of popular music avoids subversive content that look beyond the obvious and the status quo. This is a problem, mainly because most people feel satiated with sub-par intellectual stimulation. What you end up getting is a placated mass and that my friend is a tragedy.

  • @starburst7904 straight from the mouths of babes, your wise beyound your years

  • @starburst7904 For a 14 year old you're a smart kid. Stay away from drugs.. Lol

  • @cKunke2 HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA. Thanks, I'll try...........xD. To be honest, I don't like growing up in this time period.......it kind of SCARES ME. Most of my cousins grew up in the 90's so I know a lot of about it. And I miss it, but I can't miss it because I was only there for 3 years...you know?

  • @starburst7904 Thought I was the only one who noticed this, haha, I'm 14 too btw.

  • @starburst7904 Nice tohughts

  • @starburst7904 There was plenty of shitty pop music in the 80s and 90s. In 20 years people'll hardly remember Justin Beiber, and they'll be listening to the bands that are actually good going "Man all these bands that came out after 2020 are so shit."

  • people that just come to these kinds of videos to bitch that there isn't any good music anymore....aren't really looking hard enough. There's plenty of life-changing stuff out there right now. First step: stop listening to the radio.

  • @mackincheese Very true. Radio seems to have one list of songs that is played over and over. God forbid they play anything else.

  • @mackincheese Very true. Radio seems to have one list of songs that is played over and over. God forbid they play anything else.

  • @mackincheese the radio has plenty of stations that play awesome life-changing stuff like this!

  • @mackincheese i don't come here to bitch, caswell berry had a breakout part to this song in man down, and like nine years later i watched it again and remembered hey its a great song

  • @mackincheese Word. and your username rules haha

  • @mackincheese Word

  • @mackincheese i agree and i don't listen to new music lol. for instance, everyone is under the impression that all music created in the 60s and 70s was great - that every album was dark side of the moon and every band was the rolling stones. meanwhile people that love music from that era as much as i - and who in turn now it as well as i - know that the airwaves were dominated the james taylors and chicagos. obviously everyone here is referencing the 90s, but the same principle applies

  • @newfuckingwave exactly!

  • I love the twingy guitar right at the start, AWSHUMM

  • Comment removed

  • I wonder if Rivers wrote this son to speak to his current wife, Kyoko Ito (that was her name before she became Kyoko Cuomo), before they hooked up.

  • the world has turned and left 7 people

  • "An error has occurred. Please try again later"

    FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • no one gives a shit how old you are, age has nothing to do with musical preference

  • @Monkeyboy92037 i'm 88, i hate this noise pollution, you little punk, i saw the name weezer i thought i could relate with them

  • @ToadsMGodes stop

  • @ToadsMGodes aye fuck u u piece of old shit tits

  • @bionicleman2 if I was a younger man Id take you on, I used to beat the shit out of little nuttless nancy boys like you. I'm an old man now and I'd still bash you black and blue sonny-jim laddy boy

  • @ToadsMGodes Shut up old man and let me listen to the music. If you dont like it dont listen to it

  • @ToadsMGodes Geezer , Weezer . Oh , I get it .

  • @Monkeyboy92037 it's me again you little bushy-tailed bastard, i just turned 89, just thought i'd let you know these guys ain't got a goddamn thing on frank sinatra sr.

  • @ToadsMGodes i can guarantee that you, sir, are no more than 16

  • @ToadsMGodes Why the hell would anyone try to compare Weezer and Sinatra? Such an idiotic statement.

  • @opiiatee You should stick to gobbling cocks n balls and leave the cool shit to me. I ll put a summer sausage up your butthole

  • @ToadsMGodes What kind of fuckin' person are you? Jesus.

  • @opiiatee I'm the cool guy, and you must be the pussy face douche bag.

  • @ToadsMGodes lol I guess so

  • This album came out the same year i was born and its Amazing

  • thumbs up if u think this song should have way more views (:

  • Soundtrack to my adolescence

  • R.I.P. Jon Branham<3.

  • in this pic rivers reminds me of Steve from blues clues

  • You know, i wish i could listen to a Weezer song from the Blue Album or Pinkerton without having the read millions of comments about how awesome Weezer was then, and how the suck now.

    Weezer is awesome. All over.

    They were awesome then.

    They are awesome now.

    End of story.

But anyway. This song is amazing.

  • Honestly my favorite song on the album. Always makes me happier listening to it.

  • im really feeling these lyrics right now

  • 1994:

    weezer

    dookie

    smash

    16 stone

    superunknown

    live through this

    korn

    2011...???

  • @prevost2011 first three albums on your list are some of my all time faves. thats why I argue that 1994 was the best year ever, even though i was born in 95

  • @sloppyjoe549 you might be young but you know your music..keep it up

  • @prevost2011 haha thanks. i stay away from pop and rap as much as possible. this is my music

  • @prevost2011 Don't forget "Vitalogy" :)

  • @prevost2011 i'm pretty sure dookie was 93, but yea same difference. For me the only great album that has come out in 2011 are In the Mountain by Portugal the Man and Go Tell Fire to the Mountain by WU LYF. the rest are pretty much shit.

  • @PolarOpposites12 Nope, Dookie was definitely 94

  • @prevost2011 I fucking love 4 of those albums

  • @prevost2011 Different gear still speeding, suck it and see, the drug in me is you, and more just can't think of any.

  • @jacobofunlivion Please tell me you didn't just compare Beady Eye to greats like Weezer, The Offspring, and Soundgarden.

  • @lazrpo The Offspring?

  • @prevost2011

You'll see the amazing ones in retrospective. Like always. : )

  • @prevost2011 Mumford and Sons. Not punk, but they're still really good :)

  • @prevost2011 Wasting Light by the Foo Fighters.

  • @prevost2011 Don't you dare to put Soundgarden with Green Day, Offspring, Bush and Korn....

  • @vaultsuit people like you bug me in real life

  • @vaultsuit idk its not ur fault, im just a little cranky today, and who am i to judge, i dont even know u

  • @supermonkeyman12 I thought the same thing today. We're all people. Take care :)

  • @vaultsuit you to pal :)

  • @prevost2011 Hot Sauce Committee Part 2

  • @prevost2011 live through this as in can i live much longer in the world we live in now?

  • @prevost2011 Holy shit bro... SOOOO RIGHT. I can't believe that was all the same year! I LOVED all those albums. I listen to mostly hip-hop, and actually rap myself. Very well might I add lol But each and every one of those albums is CLASSIC. Nice post!!

  • @prevost2011 2011= All the crappy music, like Lady Gaga and Ke$ha.

  • @prevost2011

    2011...

    The Suburbs

    High Violet

honestly those are the only two that come to mind, and they are 2010

  • @PaulsDigitalSelf halcyon digest - deerhunter.....c'mon

  • @hellomynameiskat I'll check that out

  • @prevost2011 there is good stuff man. just gotta look for it. stay away from the mainstream crap.

  • One of my favorite cd's!!!!

  • @Yahwtfk My favorite cd!!!

  • I really fucking love Weezer.

  • where has music like this gone? I would probably sell my soul to have the nineties again,

  • @huntbug1 i would sell me soul to live through the 90s

  • Best song on blue!

  • @IvyNirvana I like buddy holly...

  • Thumbs up if this was the first album you ever bought.

  • @swd805 no.

  • @Mattiscoool9797 Bahaha owned.

  • weezer are simply amazing, blue album and pinkerton, nothing can hit the heart of an adolescent more than these two albums!!!!

  • Are you sure this is the band that plays Beverly Hills?

  • @TheGangsterOfLove95

yes i sure weezer is still awsome with the exception of raditude witch wasnt geat.

  • awesome song for real! :D

  • I almost forgot how great this album is! I've always thought it was weird that the worst songs on this album were the singles... Undone, Buddy Holly,& Say it Aint So are nowhere near as good as this, In the Garage, Surf Wax America, etc. Still, the entire album is amazing!

  • 3:30 is probably the best part

  • The acoustic picking over the electric strumming is just...guhhh so beautiful. This is a Weezer classic, musically and lyrically.

  • I had to leave my boyfriend behind in VT. This song is my life right now.

  • @jaigurudevaohmm Wouldn't be his song actually? He's still there. No offense :)

  • @dwcai81 Well only if he misses me too!

  • best weezer song by far

  • why is gay in my bar thats bullshit its a masterpeiece

  • @DUSTINdayVIDEOS how does the word gay make the song bad?

  • @PrpohetofIce he is saying that it is bullshit that it says ''gay'' in the bar! omg.

  • @DUSTINdayVIDEOS "Why? Is gay in my bar that's bullshit? It's a masterpiece."

If your bar is bullshit, it certainly isn't a masterpiece.

  • @kriscophoto i dont i wasnt born yet.. but Weezer is still sick !

  • the world has turned a cool concept tellin us all to wake up

  • @kriscophoto -- I SOOOOO miss 1994!!!

  • I'm 16 and I live Weezer.

  • Okay, question to everyone who went through their 20s during the 90s...

Were the 90s really that awesome? I was born in 1989, so I experienced all of the 90s, but in my first 10 years of life.

Being in my 20s in the 2010's, I now wonder what the cultural climate was like for people my age during the 1990s. Any thoughts/observations/experiences?

  • @tooloclock

y dont u experience the 10's and ill go back in time and experience the 90's and well meet back on this same exact day 10 yrs from now... sound like a plan?

  • @tooloclock I'll tell you a secret. The 90s fucking rocked until Jan 12, 1999. On that day, Britney Spears' first album was released to the public and the world as we knew it came to an end.

  • @babbittd1976 i just cried. i loves them so much.

  • @babbittd1976 lol Compared to Today's crap (bieber, gaga), Brittney Sears now seems good.

  • @babbittd1976 Yeah, I'm sure it's her fault all those bands didn't want to make music anymore or went in an another direction with their sound.

  • It's been so long old friend.

  • ugh, man this was my ultimate break up song. I feel like that it totally encompassed how I felt. Along with the fact that it's an amazing song, I love it.

  • Best song from The Blue Album, in my opinion.

  • "I talked for hours with your wallet photograph, but you just listened"

In hindsight that lyric is rather pathetic, but god damn did it ring true when I was 14.

  • Shut up i kungpiechong nobady dises weezer i grew up on weezer and is one of my fave punk rock bands

  • @DeltKey911 ... he wasn't dissing anyone, gay is just in the URL.

  • Had this album when it came out and now, so many years later....when I see the guy on the right all think is 2 1/2 men.

  • @ontologica its the shirt... haha:))

  • イントロ最高!

  • 6 people were left behind.

  • If you could look into the secret history of your enemies, you would find enough hurt, sorrow, and suffering as to disarm all hostility.

  • "If you could look into the secret history of your enemies, you would find enough hurt, sorrow, and pain to disarm all hostility."

  • I think it's awesome that I listen to music thats 4 years older than i am. i don't care. i wish rivers cuomo would go against justin bieber or some other douche fag in the music industry...

  • the distortion i think just makes the album. you don't really hear that in weezer nowadays. its too bad they're almost going alter-genre and putting out stuff that doesn't sound like this. they could have a major impact on mainstream music if they put another album out like this.

  • the noisiest but catchiest album i've ever heard

  • Gay is in the YouTube link.

  • @KungPieChong it says sf before that too lol..... san francisco is awesome

  • @narwhalsk8time Not according to South Park.

"There's a reason most San Francisco kids take a lot of drugs."

"It's the only thing that allows us to deal with our parents all walking around loving the smell of their own farts all the time."

  • @KungPieChong 69 likes!

  • @KungPieChong Youve watched enough gay porn to thats what stands out on your monitor eh? Enjoy the show.
