I have been around the Blues most of my life. I would love to see the Red Arrows fly. The most impressive thing about the Blues is the proximity to the other planes when tight formation.
Im from Britain, and personally, i prefere the Blue Angles, Simply because, I see the BAe Hawk T1's fly over my house every day.. there nothing special, but those F-18 Super Hornets are fucking Beautys!
The Red Arrows fly in much more nimble aircraft. Better to watch in my opinion and I've seen both live. Not taking anything away from the skill of the Blue Angels pilots.
Why cant people just accept that the Red Arrows and the Blue Angels are as good as each other. As a Brit I love the Red Arrows but appreciate the skill of other teams in what ever country. They call it MUTUAL RESPECT.

@Grahampk73 I largely agree, there are a few differences, one is the plane, another is philosophy. Some teams use more planes and can do much more graceful maneuvers as a result, others have fewer more powerful planes which allows other maneuvers to shine. But they are all extremely good, and face the same dangers, consequences, and praise! Oh, BTW Another thing in common, those that receive government funding is because their purpose is military recruitment. Greets from the states.
Not really, they're about the same as all the rest. Red Arrow pilots have admitted to having less skill than some Blue Angel and Thunderbird Pilots. Blue Angel pilots and Thunderbird pilots have said the same thing at times. As far as superiority goes, Red Arrows are 'strictly' a show team. While the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds, at all times have the ability to be refitted, repainted, and deployed in less than 72 Hours. Red Arrow's can't afford to operate fighters.
They don't need to be refited thats why, but these are some experienced "Fighter pilots" from iraq and afghan, and if required, can jump straight into a Tornado or eurofighter if they need to fight...We no longer operate fighter hawks...But if we seriously needed to, we could refit these hawks so the reds can take them to a fight no problem, so you have no logic in your point.
I was there, this was pretty unique stuff, I think that this was the only time ever that these all flew together in formation. Sadly, weather was pretty bad that day, but hey... the Netherlands: what else do you expect.

@captaindaniel5294. Well considering the title doesn't mention them you shouldn't be as worried.

FrowningIke 2 months ago
@FrowningIke of course their aircraft is way smaller so naturally it will be more maneuverable and you can't even compare the two anyway.
audgeyp 1 month ago
@audgeyp I wasn't making comparisons. Otherwise thanks for reiterating what I said.
FrowningIke 1 month ago
@FrowningIke Oh, oops-sorry! But you know what I was trying to say. C:
audgeyp 1 month ago
There is a difference in size and engine power so you can't really compare.

@GMMaydie " Red Arrow's can't afford to operate fighters."
Complete garbage, the Hawk is their aircraft of choice.

Yet more garbage. What an idiot you are.

@MrStig691 nah. i disagree. have you seen the red arrows!? they are the most amazing pilots who ever lived! But thats my opinion.

@Cthulhu767
Not really, it's because they are escorting the blue Angels to honor them, due to the fact that during this event, it was the blue angels Aniversary.
