Everyone is trying to be mix that they for get who they are, Brazil has a nice culture, but it wouldn't of been with out history and its people. I'm Brazilian and live in the US, one of my favorite tricks is to, ask americans to gues who is brazilian, like they seem to always be so quick to put a racial/ethnicity label on people, They almost always get it wrong hahaha. For too many people race/ and nationality are the same thing I hate that.
e.g "Oh that couple, yeah I know them..the wife is white, and the husband is mexican"
So many kinds of wrong there. White is color of skin (color race) Mexican is nationality.

My father was Russian , my Mom was German, I was made in Austria, but born in Sao Paulo, now live in Chicago and Miami. Yes, it is taboo! Look at the racial history of USA and you will see a country where black people were not allowed to sit with whites on buses until 1955; You will see a country where interracial marriages were ILLEGAL until 1967 .
This is recent history, not old, and clearly demonstrate the unpropitious environment for interracial marriages in USA. When I say it is a taboo I am not alone. There are a lot of authors (Perkins, Myra, etc) who mentioned such FACT.

Mas eu as vezes erro na gramatica. De qq forma, sobre esse seu link, na net vc encontra de tudo, eu tenho como prova pela convivencia que tenho com eles.

Mas como vc duvida bom, te digo high school aqui sao 4 anos, começando o nono grau,10, 11 e 12, quem é 9 se fala que sao freshman, 10 sao sophomores, 11 juniors e 12 sao seniors. Vc muda de classes e seus colegas tb, quem ta na nona pode ta junto numa classe quem ta por exemplo na 10 ou 11, excepto a classe de ingles que é dividido por ano msm. Futebol americano, no inicio das competicoes existe o chamado de pep rally. Provei.

My grand grand pa came from germany (1872) was jewish and maried with german girl (luteran). My grandma (by side of my father) was daugther of french (father) with Indian/African (mother). My mother portughese, daughter of portughese both sides. Im married with italian-brazilian girl. Im proud being father with two beautiful little girls and a beautiful teen boy. That´s it is in my country. The best place in world to live, for me!

not being funny, i am white , and was in sao paulo 2 weeks ago, i was clearly a minority. and lot of people seemed hostile at certain extent. ireacon, 20 to 40 % of the brazilians could be considered to be white.

I'm Brazilian and live in the US, one of my favorite tricks is to, ask americans to gues who is brazilian, like they seem to always be so quick to put a racial/ethnicity label on people, They almost always get it wrong hahaha. For too many people race/ and nationality are the same thing I hate that.
e.g "Oh that couple, yeah I know them..the wife is white, and the husband is mexican"
So many kinds of wrong there. White is color of skin (color race) Mexican is nationality.

My father was Russian , my Mom was German, I was made in Austria, but born in Sao Paulo, now live in Chicago and Miami. So technically don't know what I am, but my heart tells me I am Brazilian, love it and would not change for any other nationality on Earth, I love Brazil !!!!!

You are absolutely correct.
I forgot about the rednecks... (part of the white ethnicity). Since there are no rednecks in Brazil, therefore the percentage of white people in Brazil should be deducted a tad from 66% to 47% as you specify as 47%.
Sao paulo is the biggest Italy in the World including italy itself and also the biggest Ferrarri dealer in the World. Also is the 10th richest city in the World and will be the 6th in2025.

@thekingofmoney2000 i understand ur opinion, but, first of all.the title is not abt culturally and linguistically diversed. its ethnically diversed. but anyways, Brazil is still one of the most linguistically diversed countries in the world. portuguese is the official languages, but there are german, italian, polish, japanese,russian, ukranian, spanish, english, etc etc. being spoken by Brazilians in some towns specially in the southeast/west and southern Brazil.

Indian languages are simply different dialects of the same root. In Brasil, each group may speak their own language from places all over the world, hard to explain. I, am Brasilian and speak Portuguese, Russian, German, English, and Spanish, all because of my background. I believe there is not even one person in India, with roots like me

By the way this isn't a competition, just facts. 1º) Brazil is the World Champion in number of native languages: 182 native languages are spoken in Brazil by the native Brazilians, but most Brazilians don't know it because the native Brazilians are commonly ignored by the others. 2º) People from the whole world are mixing in Brazil: Italians, Lebanese,.., Blacks, Japanese MARRY each other in Brazil.

@thekingofmoney2000 That's the important thing: different to Canada and USA, in Brazil the interracial couples are very well accepted. Interracial marriage isn't a taboo, but a normal thing in this country - I consider it awesome.
I am a typical Brazilian: I have Portuguese-Spanish-Lebanese-Black roots. To see something like this in Canada, USA and Britain is rare, very rare.

Yes, it is taboo! Look at the racial history of USA and you will see a country where black people were not allowed to sit with whites on buses until 1955; You will see a country where interracial marriages were ILLEGAL until 1967 .
This is recent history, not old, and clearly demonstrate the unpropitious environment for interracial marriages in USA. When I say it is a taboo I am not alone. There are a lot of authors (Perkins, Myra, etc) who mentioned such FACT.
